Governor Mister Phes Posted May 10, 2005 Governor Posted May 10, 2005 Uhhhhh... It looks like sumo wrestling... Not a very elegant shot is indeed true... Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Arrigato TT-san for those fine pics :-D Is it me or they are on a diet, usually sumo are fatter than that!!! At least we have the thin ones :-D ;) Quote
eDeevo Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Well there are sports, that are elegent, nice to watch and with nice people to watch...But not this one though ;) :'( *twisted* You are correct, there is nothing "elegant" about that... in fact, I don't believe any picture taken of these guys would EVER appear "elegant"... ;) Life is Good. DoubleT Posted May 10, 2005 Author Posted May 10, 2005 Yes Life is good, and there is some good sports ;) Quote
eDeevo Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 DoubleT- I like the avatar, well done (although I can't stand that actor on the left |-/ ) & yes, there are good sports, this is just not one of them as far as I am concerned... I can hear the cameramen back there right now "there's the money shot!"... |-D Life is Good. Quote
Wolf04 Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 You there should be some kind of a warning in the title of the thread. I was enjoying a nice sandwich while browsing Eurobricks forum and come across this....lost my appetite and almost threw up. My point? It's disgusting seeing fat people fight like pigs. Quote
eDeevo Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 My point? It's disgusting seeing fat people fight like pigs. I think that statement about the pic is an insult to pigs... :-D Life is Good. Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Don't mock an ancestral japonese tradition - remember that these guys are considered as "gods" in Japan ;) And sumo wrestling is fun to watch :-D Quote
Wolf04 Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Don't mock an ancestral japonese tradition - remember that these guys are considered as "gods" in Japan ;) And sumo wrestling is fun to watch :-D NOT while you're eating. EDIT: Some respect you have, at least I spell God with a capital "G" Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 11, 2005 Governor Posted May 11, 2005 Don't mock an ancestral japonese tradition - remember that these guys are considered as "gods" in Japan ;) And sumo wrestling is fun to watch :-D We've probably all ascertained "respect" isn't one of my strong points so here I am throwing in my 2 cents worth... Traditions aren't always clever ideas. Two morbidly obese men wrestling each other in skimpy underwear isn't the most logical concept for a tradition. Yeah, sure some people will argue these are trained atheletes competing, but they tend to die after they reach 40. That aint saying a lot for their athleticism. On the surface its two fatso's trying to push each other out of the ring and in my opinion that isn't a pleasant sight. But if others can find apperciation in this ruckus then by all means enjoy! Governor Mister Phes Posted May 11, 2005 Governor Posted May 11, 2005 As an slight deviation "Japonism" the Japanese influence of expressionist European art was spelt with an 'O' rather than an 'A' Quote
