JDL1967 Posted April 23, 2016 Author Posted April 23, 2016 (edited) It was a joke. And i think it is no funny anymore, and i am not the only one. Read my other topic, where i ask the staff to tell to all youre nanobuilders where to post it. If the staff thinks that it is ok to post it in this forum, then i have no problem with it. But i dont want that a joke i have made will be anoing to other EB members, witch i fully understand.!! Edited April 23, 2016 by JDL1967 Quote

Thorsten50 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 (edited) This post has so made me laugh because I could not otherwise. Here are the instructions: http://bricksafe.com/files/Thorsten50/PDF/Smallest%20Technic%20Crane%20MOC%20Ever.pdf Edited April 23, 2016 by Thorsten50 Quote
Lego Dino 500 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 In the wake of a new trend of microscale Technic MOCs, I thought I'd give it a shot myself. And technically everything is functional, you can attach a hook and rotate the girder like an actual crane. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 (edited) Needs some improvements, but a good attempt. Why not use a "1" connector with pin hole then use a axle joiner and you will have a rotating crane. The base should be supported, google tower crane bases to see how real ones are anchor. Lego Dino 500 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I wish I saw this before I started my own topic. But anyways, what about a micro-scale tower crane? Quote

Something similar to this? At this scale, I'm afraid it's not possible to introduce a functional boom and hook. But it was relatively simple to introduce a rotation mechanism, though there wasn't enough room to use a hand crank piece. Quote
DrJB Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 (edited) Nice ... The only problem is such cranes are usually painted yellow or some other bright color, so they stand against the 'neutral' background. This is done for safety reasons, of course. Edited April 23, 2016 by DrJB Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Much better, now just make it yellow or white. Quote
dr_spock Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 They can also come in red or blue or green. Usually they are painted in the colors of the company that owns the crane. Quote
dr_spock Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Very good micro race track build. To be Technic, the wheels should at least be functional. Quote

And a good thing that you're using this thread. I'm affraid that in real life this crane won't keep standing. You could give this crane a basement to avoid it from falling. And when you use Ctrl-K to make screenshots in LDD you'll get rid of the LDD background. Edited April 24, 2016 by Didumos69 Quote

And this is the tutorial to snap a good quality screenshot in LDD. Or you can render it with Bluerender. Here is my other tiny MOC, it's a London Bus. This is more fun than I could have thought. On 4/24/2016 at 8:57 AM, LXF said: Micro tank The best quality / size ratio so far, in my opinion. Very clever! Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) @micro tank: I think, that rigid hose for the barell would look much better. At least, 3L axle. Edited April 24, 2016 by Gzzig Quote
nerdsforprez Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) My contribution.... and just to be clear, Jim has opened this thread for all such MOCs. Let us post all such nonsense... err... I mean MOCs, accordingly... Oceanliner Exactly ten pieces..... Edited April 24, 2016 by nerdsforprez Quote
