Anyway, my only real regret is not eating there back in 2001 so that I'd have a messload of those little Tohunga buggers. Its taken me 7 years to get all of the ones I wanted... *sigh*

So, any news on what exactly this new promo is?

Guys, I highly doubt they would rerealease the '06 ones. I (kinda) collect Happy Meal toys and I dont think they ever gave out rereleases. Besides, the coming soon page has a pic of Mahri Hahli (Lol I made a Rhyme!)

Small sets would be nice again. I got half the McToran back in 2001 pretty much just expecting them to be cute little throw-away characters. Well, Maku and Onepu pretty much ended up that way, but look what became of Jala, Huki, Kongu, and Matoro.

Although, I fully expect one-piece "figures" or some sot of little Bionicle themed gadgets

Not as of yet; it was only promoted at McDonald's recently.

However, since this was not advertised by LEGO or BIONICLE, there is speculation on BZP that Clonie may be correct and that this may simply be McDonald's getting rid of old BIONICLE stock, that being the Inika/Piraka promotions from last year.

I wouldn't bet on constructible figures, though. The McToran only made it because they were made of a few pieces, any Matoran nowadays would be made of far too many pieces to be a promotional item. We've come farther than McToran now.

Get over it. Some people here are acting as if McDonalds is a portal to hell. Its not. You act as if it is embarrasing to be seen in one. Its not. Many people eat McDonalds, and I don't see how the food is disgusting or putrid. Granted, it aint no delicacy, but its getting a lot of bashing because one guy said they hated it so naturally everyone else followed suit. This is not directed at anyone particular.

Anyway, back on topic. I personally loved the old McToran, and still have them all. Infact there on my bedroom floor right now. You should be glad that McDonalds is selling Lego, even if it does turn out crap, because many kids could be introduced to lego that way and if it wasn't lego it would most likely be a clone brand.

So I for one eagerly anticipate these promos! :-)

It's confirmed at BZP; the toys are POS.

I would encourage people with smaller children or those who enjoy happy meals to refrain from purchasing them as long as this is running, if nothing else to show Lego they really must focus on quality or stop doing this kind of promotion all together.
