Captain Green Hair Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 (edited) Since the first version was a bit of a color clash, i decided to rebuild it! So here it is, with two storage buildings, a new toilet, a medium tower that won't be hit so fast, girls, palmtrees......and so on. The front. The rear. The commander sweat talking some girl and te tower owl. And a birdseye! Really did my best on the pictures this time, so don't be to hard on me... X-D The gallery. Enjoy! oo7 Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 This is quite a marvelous structure, captain! The semi-circular design is very nice and the white & light grey color scheme fits very well. The only thing I can't say I really like is the owl, I don't think there are many owls in a tropical climate such as this one. Regardless it's very beautiful overall. :'-) Quote
El Bucanero Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 I see a brilliant MOC with a big load of paprika! Wow! Must be the third MOC based on El Torre de Belem. The new colours look very good, a nice change from the other one. Lets hope the folder gets public soon, cause I want to see that new toilet! Flush on! Quote
Col. Whipstick Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Damn Brickself to hell! I want those pics public now!!! What a kick-megablocks fort! Where's the jacuzzi though? I was in Portsmouth a couple days ago and saw plenty forts and sea defense structures like yours though being England the palm trees weren't quite as plentiful. X-D Quote

Just thought an owl was something different then a parot for a change... Paprika, yes and nutmeg, garlic, lots of fresh ingredients! A jacuzi could be a nice addition, we're planning it! Quote

They still used drawbridges then, just need to connect it to the harbour (WIP) somehow... Quote
Voodoo Hand Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 ah okay, then it explains a lot offcourse! Still great work tho! Quote

Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted November 19, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted November 19, 2007 You've made a masterpiece this time Cap'n. I *wub* this fortress. Great colors, details, overall looks. This picture would look good on the headlines of www.classic-pirates.com. Don't ya think Mr. Phes? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 19, 2007 Governor Posted November 19, 2007 I suppose it would do, though I'd recommend a picture where the whole MOC was in frame and the angle more level with the MOC - it's a tad acute in that image. Quote

What's a "tad acute"? You have a good point. This one is probably better. I've resized it and made it a bit lighter. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 20, 2007 Governor Posted November 20, 2007 Yes, much better. Now all you need to do is sharpen it a little to compensate for it begin slightly out of focus X-D Quote

Here you go. Sharpe enough? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 20, 2007 Governor Posted November 20, 2007 Yes, I think that sharpening really brings the MOC out of the picture. You've done well Mr Bonaparte. Very well indeed. Well enough to upload the image at least. Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted November 20, 2007 Governor Posted November 20, 2007 Headline it now and we can release the results at the end of the week. They don't have to be posted the very minute the competition ends. Quote

I'll do the headlining but it has to wait 8 hours (until I'm at home). The PC I'm on now doesn't have DreamWeaver installed. If you can't wait, then you are free to headline this awesome fortress. Capn Frank Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 What a superb improvement Cap'n *y* I liked the old version, but this one takes the cake. :-) Mmmmm... ...cake *wub* Just a quick question, is this baby done? Or will you be changing the dock area too? P Quote
