tripletschiee Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I want to do some custom decoration of my models, but want to find out, which parts can be standardwise decorated at all. Is there a possibility to find out? For example: in the 8258 crane truck, the #T=C&C=5"]1x11 liftarm in the front is decorated with a sticker. Still, in LDD it is not ment to be decorated: <Brick refID="0" designID="32525"> <Part refID="0" designID="32525" materials="21"> <Bone refID="0" transformation="1,0,0,0,1,0,0,0,1,-4.4000000953674316,0.40000000596046448,3.6000001430511475"> </Bone> </Part> </Brick> This leads to my question above. Thanks! Quote
Zerobricks Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 (edited) Maybe try removing the brick and comparing the XML, old and new, where there is a change? Edited February 24, 2016 by Zblj Quote
tripletschiee Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 Yes, I could try to put all the bricks, I might to put some decoration on, into a new lxf, export it as a lxfml and check, if there is a decoration entry in the xml-structure. But I was just guessing, that there might be a simpler possibility. Quote
Calabar Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 In the LDD Reference topic there is a file containing all the decoration and the decorable bricks. Unfortunately this file is not up to date. If someone would keep to maintain the file, it would be great. Quote
tripletschiee Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 Thanks, Calabar, that help a lot. Above all my understanding of "decoration" was wrong. I always thought, that a sticker means decoration. But I now understand, that decoration means a fix print on the brick. thanks again! Quote
