This is my first MOC on LDD and I have been playing with it for some time. I am working on my favorite star wars ship the Venator Class Star Destroyer. I have got this far https://gyazo.com/3816f31eafeb53164b94c2d90951a8c2.

The problem I am having is attaching the hull using magnets like the technique used on the set 10030. Please can you help I really want to get the MOC finished but can not progress without the hull being attached :sweet: .

Thank You! Ellis.

Magnets don’t work in LDD.

You will have to use helper bricks: build a scaffold of bricks to place your hull in the right place and then delete them. (You can use a color that’s not used anywhere else (like pink) so you can select them easily.)

Also, if you are inspired by existing techniques but you don’t know how to do them in LDD, look at the “Official LEGO Sets made in LDD” topic (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41226): if it’s feasible, it’ll have been done by more experienced people.

Whenever I open the model the magnets aren't there  are you sure they work and if not can you recommend some other techniques to attach the bottom hull

What exact version of LDD do you have? I guess magnets were added in latest update (tho it wa slike 1 year ago)...that is LDD v4.3.8 build 1564.2

I have magents I just don't know how to use them :/

OK, for example you have two 73092 magnets in the set: just move them close enough to each other and they will automatically snap together as if you would putting two plates or normal bricks together...
