Ondra Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 There are probably two motor under spoilers, these big two grey round pieces.Probably L motor. But this is only my vision.
zux Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I like several new parts already mentioned (especially the wheels) in this thread and wish for set to remain in Black. It would be just better to have new parts in common colour rather than sticking to "never-going-to-be-used-in-Technic-again" colour. Find the ground clearance is pretty low - no suspension?
XAxles Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Bloody good grief. Those wheels. The spokes are picture-perfect accurate! For shame they aren't center-lock like the real thing, however.
Aleh Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 As I saw in the video Porsche can change the gears like the real one by switchers on both sides of the steering wheel. Hope you guys understand my English.
Samer Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Guys these white stickers are the thing or just a disguize? Another question: In the video, anybody has idea what these rubber bands at the dashboard are?
Thirdwigg Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 .... I really must admit I didn´t get so excited for a long time ! Those fenders / panels / wheels / brakes (?) / gearbox definitely set a milestone in the development. Thanks Jim, you made my day! I agree. Things look pretty good so far, and as we learn more about this set, I suspect it will only get better. There are still too many questions at this point.
Lipko Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 So: sequential gearbox with shifting paddles at the steering wheel and probably a 2wd 4wd selector between the seats. HOLY SHH

Was wondering about this as well.. Lego usually doesn't let their models bottom out..
Emmi Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I can you tell - this set is going to blow our minds once fully unveiled - this surely is not finished yet (as the sets functions are not demonstrated at the Technic booth) but however it's here to see and get a first glimpse. It seems to be packed with functions, I think I see actual working disc brakes!!!, lots of rubber bands inside the cockpit - motors hidden behind the black curved panels inside the cockpit??? working lights, no HOG steering but finally the actual steering wheel will work (thanks TLG!!!), etc.
deehtha Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Rubber bands for paddle shifters? Are those wheels 81 mm? I would say there is more than 60 panels, at least. @Aleh, your English is good
zux Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I wonder if number of pins will still be higher than number of panels in this model?
Erik Leppen Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I think we're expecting more from it than it is. The gearbox shows that the lever cannot move sideways, unless it is a joystick similar to the red snow groomer from a some years ago (8263?). I'm not expecting this. I also am not expecting the suspension to be more complex than 8448's, there won't be four-wheel steering. Maybe 4WD, someone who is into Porsches? There might be a new (or existing) remote-control unit, as we don't see HOG, and I think this would mean the functionalities are quite simple, but there might just as well be a steering knob on the back. Or none at all, and steering works via the steering wheel only. Anyhow, let's see how this will beat 8880 functionality-wise :) At least there's no color vomit on this one :) Yet. Let's see what color composition the final model will bring. I hope something unusual like lime green or orange.
John Daniels Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Do I see a few new parts(motors and battery pack/pf2.0, possible). In the photo that Paul posted at the top of the page you can see something through the wheelarch and the gap in the door. Then in the photo of the rear the 2x4 lift arms connect to something with an odd shape to it.
Aleh Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 it seems like buying separate parts on BL does not make it much more cheaper than bying the whole set unfortunately....
Vectormatic Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I like several new parts already mentioned (especially the wheels) in this thread and wish for set to remain in Black. Agreed on the color, if lego keeps doing these sets with one off colors, moccing decently will become a nightmare. As for the suspenion, in the video i think i can see the front upper suspension arms through the gaps on either side of the hood, and they seem to be at a slightly angle, suggesting suspension, itll have to be damn stiff though, given the ground clearance.
JunkstyleGio Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Nice to read so many speculations about this model. Let's hope we get a video soon..
aol000xw Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) There is not much room below the archs so suspension must be short travel and quite stiff. 1 stud travel? Perhaps even less as the chasis seems to be 1 stud over the ground but the body is almost touching it. It indeed looks to have two XL motors at the rear but cant see battery pack or receivers. 30 studs wide? 62 studs long? 19 studs tall? Edited January 26, 2016 by aol000xw
JGW3000 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 You'd think at this price point they will bring back this part , instead of the blue ones. First thing I do is use up my supply of these to fix the more obvious places they show.
