Yes, and that means? I was asking for MOC's... Please read.

It's been out for less than a month so maybe folks need some more time to turn that humungous pile of pieces into MOCs.

One MOC I've been waiting to see is a huge trencher, using the same bucket wheel.

It will be a while - currently building the B model but won't be using the buckets, keeping the bucket wheel intact and will use other panels to replace them on the B model as they are only cosmetic.

This is what I am basing a trencher model on - probably a freelance version.

Includes drawings of the various trenchers this firm makes.

I have some ideas for supporting and driving the BW and for the discharge conveyor.

I only had a couple square feet to build on, so I did the same as Error404 and higgins91, I just built it bag by bag. I got this set for the looks and parts. I don't have very many Technic sets, so I figured this would be a good set to get an instant stockpile. I also hoped (and still do hope) that this would be the rebuilt set of this wave, the set that people devise 101 MOCs for, like the 24 hour race car was for 2015.

I do not see the conveyor chains!

I did like Error404 when I gathered mine, bag after bag

yeah that's right, chains and buckets in the box next to the table. they are more of a "one-off" usage so I get them when I need them. not like a 15L beam so to speak :)

Nope, I haven't posted it yet. Almost there though.

I'm glad I did not miss it. Really looking forward to this review!

B model frustration:-

Got all the way to step 510 page 427 and tried to install the hopper conveyor unit only to discovered I had made an error somewhere as the last piece would not fit !!!

Errors eventually traced to step 258 page 247 and step 279 page 262 where I had put the buff frictionless pins in the wrong hole, i.e. 1L too high.

At least working from a computer screen you can zoom in to see better detail.

Build now back on track.

Well finally I have finished it and tested the working of it. The reviews were right about the jerky movement, but it works and I have a great deal of satisfaction from it.

Thanks TLG for a good flagship :sweet:

Really taking my time on this build. Usually a group of bags per night. Just finished bags 6 today and don't want it to end. My first big Technic set and loving it. Main Lego collection is Star Wars and Creator Modulars but seriously considering adding Technic to the mix after this set!

I just got my paws on it yesterday and built it non stop for 12 hours. I enjoyed every moment of it, and the result looks stunning! The bucket wheel indeed has jerky movements, but it doesn't make me enjoy it less, because I don't play with the models. The yellow accent really makes this set gorgeous.

I replace the two clutch gears with two 24z gears, and the playability improves significantly. The XL motor has ample power to move both belts and the bucket wheel.
