Thanks all! It's good to be here! Not just a matter of pride, but we need to keep our goods labeled!

My Cuervo cousins should be along shortly...

OOC: And if all goes along as planned, I should have my first free build up within the next thirteen hours, as that's how long I have until the first over here.

Jim Cuervo, Son of Sam Cuervo the entrepreneur to his hand crafted fishing fleet, and the grandson of legendary explorer and proprietor Jose Cuervo. Early on Jim and his father had one simple fishing vessel and a simple life but with the ever growing empire they seized the opportunity to expand and soon there single ship turned into many and founded the company “JC”. This company traded with many markets within the empire and even at one point for the capitols training camps. These ships can be seen sometimes in vast numbers around various ports and sometimes in open waters. Not long after this surge of growth his father soon passed away leaving Jim with the whole company on his shoulders. He snagged his best friend since child hood, Will Pepper. Will has always been around for Jim but focuses more on his open trade, Will takes anything he can find or purchase and flips it for value. Seeing this Jim knew that will was the perfect fit to help him keep his father’s company up and running.

The company seemed to have stabilized and going in the right direction but that Jim heard his Cousin Renaldo Cuervo was returning from a long adventure he thought he had surely passed at sea or even captured by some other nation. But word spread that he was arriving back to the capitol within a few days. Jim had to see for himself if this news was true and set sail instantly leaving the company in the hands of Will until his return. Jim also saw this as an opportunity to see about joining the MCTC, he had thought about this for many months and saw it as his chance to make his father company even greater.

Kenway Cuervo grew up in search of adventure. Being that he is the grandson of legendary explorer and proprietor Jose Cuervo, this thirst for adventure was in his blood. As a child, he left home with his father, Morgan Cuervo, to travel the world for his family’s trading company.

Cunning and clever, Kenway quickly picked up the art of trade, along with other skills, and began building his own reputation. Chief among these was his ability to fight. Kenway was never the strongest man, but he began learning swordsmanship at a young age, thanks to his mentor, Lee Piandao. Accompanying them on their travels, Lee was a longtime friend of Kenway’s father, and provided Kenway with a strong education as well as his swordsmanship abilities.

At the age of eighteen, Kenway was all too confident in his abilities and wanted to prove that he was a capable tradesman and explorer. So, after traveling with his father for many years, Kenway decided it was time for him to start his own legacy. He set sail alone, captaining a small crew. At first, his voyages were very successful and brought the trading company much profit. But soon, due to his search for adventure, discovering new land and riches became the primary goal for Kenway and his crew. After two years of exploration, Kenway landed on an island inhabited by savage natives, who brutally murdered the majority of his crew upon their arrival. Vowing to return for his revenge, Kenway narrowly escaped with his life, and traveled back home to find his family’s company in tatters.

From Lee, Kenway learned that his father had not been heard from in over a year. During that time, new leadership took control of the family’s trading company, running it into the ground with corruption and thievery.

Now twenty years of age, Kenway is set on regaining the honor that once bestowed his family name. He has joined with the successful MCTC to rebuild from his past mistakes, and make a name for himself as a true gentleman of fortune. He has much to learn, but with the help of his family, nothing will get in his way.

Welcome to Eslandola to all the Cuervo !

A question though...

Why are you already citizen with so few posts sent ? Are you some kind of NPCs in order to recreate the family ? I don't get it... Sorry if I don't understand the fun or humour in this Cuervo family...

Nope, they are actual, real live people. I know them, I work with them, and PMs needed to be sent. I really don't pay attention to post counts too much, as that really doesn't mean a thing.

Ah ok thank you for your answer. It seemed unclear but now it's ok for me. I didn't want to see some strange NPCs Appear in our country without understanding it.

Thank you for clarifying it

The Sacketts... err... I mean the Cuervos have arrived... Looking forward to seeing the big plans you guys have!

:laugh::pir-laugh:

Actually I'm curious to see how a story between members with significant real world connections will unfold. :classic:

Welcome to all ye new members (though you seem once again to have all joined the wrong trade company pirate_hmpf.gifpirate_tong.gif)!

One another note, the ETWC settlement of Pontelli has now been opened to land ownership of members of any faction pirate_classic.gif

Oh that's a great news ! So ETWC is trying to modernise ! ;p

Good news to see you are open, I thought it was too much restrictive in the beginning to own a city for just the members of the company. It's one of the reasons why I didn't enter to ETWC nor MCTC.

Sure MAESTRO has not the monopolies you have but it is really enjoying to build something from scratch and develop it freely, it's making a real opened way to think the concept of the Trade Company...

Anyway, I am glad to see you are more open.

What, hey? Well, we're open now so you can join the ETWC already pirate_tong.gif Seriously though, I had been planning to open it pretty much ever since the beginning, but I figured it would be a good idea to wait for the start of a new month... guess that was a bad idea! pir_laugh2.gif

Anyhow, yes, the openness seems to fit a lot better into Eslandola - that is, the more merchants and members we can attract into our settlements, the more gold for us all! Doubloons and country! pirate_tong.gifpir_laugh2.gif

Haha ! I will not change my mind and I am not joining your TC, sorry ;p

I really enjoy building something new, trying to develop an idea that grew in my mind when I began BoBS so MAESTRO is the best option I could find ! My apple madness wouldn't fit other way by now...

Sure you should have been open from beginning, the openness is really what I am thinking is best for Eslandola as we are merchants !

And it's kinda dissuasive (or impressive at least) to see the already established TC and their monopolies: it's making me thought if I am joining, I will be nothing in this big endeavour !

So I tryed to develop my apple story and found that the best for it, is to begin a new trade company with other players. Maxim began MAESTRO in this time period so I joined him !

I am happy with that and I am not disrespecting ETWC or MCTC. I am glad you're here and are our Eslandian allies.

As Corrington recently founded a new settlement on Berelli, it is in every Eslandolan interest to help growing Elysabethtown!

So time for a small ad in the Eslandolan newspapers!

Captain Daffyd "Splattersquawk" Prows is an independent, but tends to caucus with MAESTRO. (Sorry, but with all the political fever over here I couldn't help but draw parallels.)
