RetroInferno Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I thought about that as a set. It'd be amazing! However, they wouldn't do the entire ship, it'd be too expensive, it'd have to be large. I don't really know if I'd expect any more gang members. This set would be really hard to pull off, but would most likely look like this: You'd have to include a corridor or 2, at least a gate as a play feature, a new model for the Rathtar and several mini-figs. Way I see it this is at least a 80-90 $ minimum f they want to capture that scene properly. Quote
Dapper-D2 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I'm really looking forward to the UCS snowspeeder. I missed out on the first release and hope to see a nicely updated version like the x-wing. I'm also exited to see what they do with the UCS death star and I doubt it would be another playset. Quote
Gadzooks Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Didn't you hear? We're supposed to get Luke in the Luke's Jedi Island set. Comes with Irish stone huts, stone stairs, stone walls, stones, grass, plus Luke, Rey, and a discount Millenium falcon. I hope we actually get a set like this, sans "discount Millenium Falcon". Something similar to Yoda's hut. Quote
wesker Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I have a horrible feeling Episode VII Luke Skywalker will be a Comic-Con 2016 Exclusive Limited Edition minifigure.... going for $200+ on Ebay!!!! Speak no more of it! I don't think this would happen though, I feel he would be too high of a demand for this to happen, loads of unhappy people/fans/collectors. Would it really matter if it did happen? Luke will be back in Episode 8 anyway and likely wearing the same costume as before. There's no way he won't be included in any sets by the time the Sequel Trilogy is over. Just need to be patient. Wouldn't the simpler option be to just release a brickbuilt Rathtar and 3 minifigures (Hero, Bala-Tik, Guavian) in a cheap set like Shelob Attacks? Thats all you really need to cover the scene. Quote

The tentacles could be brick built, but it think a mould would be necessary for the main body (whatever the hell that was meant to look like in the film) Really intrigued by the may the fourth figure, it probably won't be too long until we see what it is. I'd laugh out loud if after all this hype, it turned out to be a rehash from a polybag last year (Stormtrooper Finn anyone?) Quote
benderisgreat Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) Regarding May 4 promotion, I don't think we will get Ep7 Luke. Lego knows fans will pay good money for his minifig, and will most likely save him till 2017 Ep 8 sets( his clothes will probably be the same), or best case scenario like someone said above , some kind of set based on final scene in TFA, I could definitely see it being 20-30$. So either Chrome Phasma or Guvian Death Gang member as May 4 promo will be our best bet. Edited January 10, 2016 by benderisgreat Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Finally got Takodana in the mail today. I love this set! The figures are great and the build is nice. Is it with $60? Eh, I guess. It's pretty big when it's all spread out. I got it for $50 and had a few gift cards so I took the chance. I also got 2 constraction figures today. Kylo is huge! Can't wait for the summer sets, because this is probably my last SW set for now. What parts are used for the stun baton? I don't want this set but I do want to make the baton so my only FO stormie can be FN-2199 (aka TR-8R) Quote
Kenny1 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) Lego Star Wars poes x wing in blue leaked photos on Instagram under hashtag #legostarwars - can't make out the figures though Edited January 10, 2016 by Kenny1 Quote
hachiroku Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Lego Star Wars poes x wing in blue leaked photos on Instagram under hashtag #legostarwars - can't make out the figures though I think they are BB8, Poe as Indiana Jones, a Flametrooper and San Tekka. I like this set, but it's a flaw having two X-Wing in the same year with minimal diferences. Quote

Hold0511 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I'm not on instagram - does it look like the same flawed x-wing build? wrong wings etc? Quote
legosamsonite Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Something is not right there. The piece count is less than the FO snowspeeder Quote
MartinCliffe Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 You don't have to be on Instagram - you can search the hashtag on the website. It's a long way down now though. It's a VERY blurry image, so you can't make out wing details, but it looks quite similar. Quote
legosamsonite Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I think the wings look a bit better Quote
Chilly_Productions Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Something is not right there. The piece count is less than the FO snowspeeder Yeah, it might be fake. If it WAS real it would have a piece count similar to Poe's X-wing, considering it is basically a recolour. Quote
Richpepperell Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I'm not convinced by that the box art looks a burp lain and there's no way a build of that size would only have that many pieces. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) Yeah, it might be fake. If it WAS real it would have a piece count similar to Poe's X-wing, considering it is basically a recolour. But, one of our sources, don't remember who, said this version was downsized in comparison with the last. I also have a previous retailer's catalog, and 442 is just the stock number of pieces LEGO uses for box-art mock-ups. Edited January 10, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote

Remember that we often get prelims with wrong piece count. I remember a wave where all the pictures did have 444 pieces without any difference in the size of the set, another one with XXX. So I think this is real... Quote

BigEl Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Noone saved the image? Cant find it on Instagram and I scrolled down pretty far A Resistance X-Wing would not make a lot of sense since we already got Poes X-Wing, but it would actually be more interesting to me. I like the standard colour a lot more and a Poe with his normal look (hair and jacket) would be a great addition to my SF Tie Fighter (In that case we would only miss Finn in Stormtrooper armor). Quote
benderisgreat Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Wow this set looks really cool! Minifigs are Poe in jacket, Lor San Tekka , Flametrooper and BB-8. But amount of pieces is really small for an X-wing, I mean 442 pieces is way to small compared to 700+ version that came out in September. But overall I like this set, so I will probably be getting it. Quote

Two regular X-Wings on the shelves at the same time wouldn't make much sense, but a regular one in combination with a specialised one is a different beast It even adds play value, so it actually makes a lot of sense Edited January 10, 2016 by Lego-Freak Quote

This set will be up in the six or seven hundreds. Edited January 10, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
