legotechnicus Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Hi guys, I waned to show my latest creation a 8x8 tatra truck. It's still a wip (for a very long time now) but I bought 2 new sets with some piecies I needed. Right now I'm going to focus on the cab to make it better looking. Will post updates when I've had some progress Here are the pictures ] Quote

legotechnicus Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 Hi guys! Sorry for the absence lately but I've been very busy with my other hobbys. Finally have some spare time to continue with the project. I finally figured out how to attach shock absorbers to the axles, will post ldd file of my idea I do not want to make a regular flatbed truck with little functions so things will be added! Also 2legoornot2lwgo is helping me with the parts I need to complete the build Updates will come! Quote
Zerobricks Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Looking very good so far. Whats the steering wheel with worm gear drive for? Quote
legotechnicus Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 Looking very good so far. Whats the steering wheel with worm gear drive for? At the time it was for the steering, prototype at the time. The wormgear drives the steering rack to which the steering links are connected Quote
legotechnicus Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 Great Tatra with good chassis. Thank you! Remember that this is an old version, the new one will be better :) Quote
MaxSupercars Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 (edited) Super. How do you want to build steering? With linkages? Max Edited March 17, 2016 by MaxSupercars Quote
legotechnicus Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 (edited) Super. How do you want to build steering? With linkages? Max Yes, it uses 1 6l link per steered wheel. I still need to order some parts to finish the axles, if I receive the parts some real life photos will be uploaded! For now I will make the ldd file, this will also be used for future instructions Edited March 17, 2016 by legotechnicus Quote
