JohnTPT17 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Looks like Pick a Brick has received an update - you can now see all available colors for each part listed under each part. On paper, it seems handy, but you cannot add parts to your cart at a single click anymore (you have to click on the cart and then select a color), and it's also much less clear what parts are Standard and which are Bestseller. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Yeah in principle having one entry for a part and choosing the colour seems cool, but several things need fixing with this UI. It needs to be able to show what's out of stock on the first screen (maybe the colours that are out of stock are slightly greyed out), and also show which colours are already in your cart with a tick on top of them, like it does when you click. The bestseller vs standard issue is no longer a thing here in Australia (or in Europe I think), but they need to sort that out for North America. Quote
RichardGoring Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Interesting update. Not being able to pick things with a single click is frustrating. For me, you can see whether it's bestseller or standard when you click on the colour, which I don't really mind. There's the 'Show Bestsellers Only' filter, although a 'Show Standard Only' filter would also be useful. There is a diagonal line through the colour swatches of any elements are out of stock, so that's fine. The huge win is that you can change the quantity of parts really easily, without it having to load, slowly, which in the past for me has either meant missing some things or taking a long time for it to update before clickng again. That's only once you click on them. On the main page of parts to scroll, there's nothing indicating parts are out of stock. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I can't even get PAB to load. The landing page just times out for me.... Quote
RichardGoring Posted July 7 Posted July 7 They appear to have reverted back to the old version, as of Sunday evening in the US. Quote

It's honestly much more functional. I think they should keep the current setup but if you click on a brick rather than click "Pick", you should be able to see and toggle between available colours. That would be a much more useful approach. Minimizing the effort to get what you need, while also providing greater visibility. Quote
jodawill Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Is there any news on the August parts? I've been waiting over a year for the white horse to appear. It was introduced in a June set last year and it's being discontinued this year. We're also still waiting on the skirt from the Medieval Town Square. Quote

Hope it don't skip a month. Quote

If it did not show up after the normal time with the rest of the parts from the set the chances are small unless it comes in another set I think Quote
jonwil Posted August 2 Posted August 2 New parts (from April releases) are expected to land on PaB on the 4th of August: https://www.bricksafe.com/files/TobyMac/ne/eid/PaB_rb_color_new_2025-08.html https://www.bricksafe.com/files/TobyMac/ne/eid/PaB_rb_cat_new_2025-08.html So that's non-licensed parts from the Shire, the paddle steamer, Beauty and the Beast castle, Hulk monster truck, Iron Man Hall of Armor, yellow suitcase and (for some reason) the buildable Star Wars logo (even though that is a May release) If you want the buildable Star Wars logo without paying the Star Wars tax and you already have a lot of the pieces I can confirm that every part from the set should be up for sale on PaB I believe (after this batch lands) so you could buy the parts without buying the set (it has nothing in it that's licensed or special) Quote
karrit Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Not really a very big list. Pretty much the only parts I may be interested in are the ship hull pieces. Quote

I'd like to buy a bunch of them for my cavalry. I've almost given up hope now that they'll show up. I didn't realize they were on PAB in 2019. I guess I missed out. The smaller one is almost $9. It's a lot cheaper on Bricklink. Quote
JohnTPT17 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Standard part shipping to the US has now been suspended thanks to tarriffs. Bestsellers are still available, at least. But there were also several parts (especially animals) I would have probably gotten if there was more of a warning... I'm very scared about what prices are going to look like next year. And not just for Legos. Quote
RichardGoring Posted August 25 Posted August 25 That's frustrating. I had a cart that I hadn't fully saved. Have to remember what I was going to order and hope it comes back soon. Quote
RichardGoring Posted August 26 Posted August 26 I've been figuring out which parts have been removed from my cart. Thank goodness for all the Bricklink sellers out there! Over the weekend I placed three Bricklink orders for things I couldn't get from Pick a Brick and all will be arriving in the next few days. I'm having a lot of fun building things from Rebrickable at the moment, but that may slow down if the service doesn't resume, as it's often hard to get what you need on Bricklink from only a few sellers, and after that postage costs really ramp up. While LEGO may view this as a niche service, it is useful to some of us that build outside the box so to speak. Quote
jonwil Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Did the printed clock or that tile with the envelopes and keys from the Tudor Corner modular ever appear on PaB? Quote
The Reader Posted September 2 Posted September 2 PaB is very fast now here: ordered last Tuesday in the evening, got shipping notice last Thursday in the morning, parcel arrived yesterday (Monday). Less than a week … 👍 Quote
eldiano Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Everything feels automated now, before they used the openable bags now it’s air tight like if it’s machined to spec I think! Quote
Roebuck Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Latest leaks say a bright green knight helmet, space helmet and airtank + some other parts will come this year. Could be in the aquarium, I assume that will be a crazy parts pack with a lot of recolours Quote
Lion King Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Quick question: how do you edit your PAB cart? I added parts to my cart by accident while realizing they are not the right ones. Quote

On the Pick a Brick page click on the cart on the bottom right of the screen (the grey box with the price and part count in it), which will show a list of all the individual parts selected, and click the trash bin icon on the right of the relevant piece.
