etcknight Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Just thought I'd add a quick update, and show the finished model and its case. Enjoy! :-D Quote
xwingyoda Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 :oo Really sweet case there ;) The whole "finished product" looks terrific, excellent work ;) I love the little red bricks and the emblem in the middle. Quote
The Middleman Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 That looks fantastic. Are you ever going to sell it? Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 WOW, fantastic work. The case looks excellen, just about worthy enough tohold that glorious thing ;) Quote
etcknight Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 :oo Really sweet case there ;) The whole "finished product" looks terrific, excellent work ;) I love the little red bricks and the emblem in the middle. Thanks for the comments. :) I couldn't figure out exactly what to put in the middle; but I finally came up with the idea to highlight the fact that the Royal Starship is a "Republic" ship and that "Dark Red" is one of the more recognizable Republic colors (plus I really like the Dark Red bricks!) The Light Gray is also a tribute to all the original "Space" sets Lego produced when I was a kid. That looks fantastic. Are you ever going to sell it? Hmm, let me think about that one? ;) Yeah, my friends keep telling me I should E-bay it. But, I'm pretty sure I'd shoot myself later. :'( To bad it's not something I can mass produce easily. Oh well, guess we'll all just have to wait for Lego Co to get the hint so I can buy, like, four (4) copies of a set like mine. :') (Can you imagine having ALL those chrome pieces?! :oD ) Quote
ApophisV Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Just saw your post with the display box over at CSF, I'm really impressed! Looks cool, I wish I had one to display here... *wub* Quote
Darth Drew Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 The ship and the case are really nice. Good job! Quote
The Middleman Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 One thing: I know you're not going for accuracy with the CASE, of all things, but was the 8-spoked wheel even in use as a symbol in Episode I? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 23, 2005 Governor Posted May 23, 2005 Oh chroming is so overrated... I'm going to platinum and gold everything... That'll be more original! A golden Pirate ship... Wouldn't work as well as a space ship I'm thinking... Quote
Iruini Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 some major editing was in store for that i think. :oo Quote
etcknight Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Hey everyone, I submitted my MOC to Lego for their Eps III contest. Unfortunately, it didn't fit their criteria, but it looks like it might be features in an upcoming Lego Co Magazine as a "Cool Creation"!!! =) Wow, that Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Well done. I would be so dam proud if that was my creation. I can't belive they thought they were real chrome parts though :D Quote
xwingyoda Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Looooooooooool, they don't know their own products !!!!!!!!! "It can Quote
Iruini Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 looks kinda fat if you ask me.but really detailed. Quote
AgentA Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 That is awsome. When I first saw that I thought it was some unreleased set from way back in the beggining! That is one awsome creation. I would definetly be proud to be the creator of that. It's reallly awsome. AA Quote
LegoBMW Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 interesting model. In the "before" pics it does not look very good but with the chrome it looks 200% better. I wonder how long the chrome will hold up on plastic? Quote
