Dragonfire Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Yep, we narrowed down the pool by lynching half the town Let's take a look at everyone: 4 of 2 (Mostlytechnic) - Claimed town vig Bock Pathos (Bob) - Clementine Lister (Lind Whisperer) - claimed backup Diamond Dodd (CallmePie) - Hannah Ford (Ranger of the Forest) - Harriet Stomper (Mediumsnowman) - Minga Gorgon (Dragonfire) - claimed cleared Nathan 'Maurice' Mallard (TinyPiesRUs) - Paul Harkonnenn (Piratedave84) - claimed watcher Seamus Aaron (Hinckley) - Zipzop Beetlejuice (Sir Stig) - So we've got 4 people claiming something and 7 with no public claims. Now, assuming we've got a couple other roles that the town block knows (the investigator, blocker, etc), it doesn't take much to have the 6 town identified. Then the remaining 5 are a SK and 4 scum. Done. Frankly, I think we're basically at the point (based on our numbers) that we should just mass claim, lay everything out, and have the scum known to everyone. Unless the town block has a reason NOT to believe one of the existing claims, I don't see any reason not to. Listen to me. Everyone has claimed their roles to me. There's no need to massclaim. I have all the information, and I'm eagerly awaiting the investigation result. Once I have that, we'll see what will happen next. And how do you know the number of Scum?
Piratedave84 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 It's very smart, actually. I agree that a selection of targets should be discussed but now you know for sure that Minga didn't know who you'd be watching. Therefore if anything goes wrong in the Town block, you won't suspect the leader. I approve of the strategy. Now, you are playing the game, so I assume you were able, since you read the threads so often and hover all day, to choose a good target. Can you tell us who you targeted or if you learned anything? Or are you just going to yell at Minga for strategically with–holding information? I was selfish and I watched myself. My logic was that I could confirm a claim if someone was to target me (i.e. the tracker, blocker, or cop). I was looking to find new 'friends' seeing that the town block is IMO not doing much so I thought the cop would target me or the blocker. Honestly I felt I would be a good SK kill target and fully expected to die last night. I initially thought of watching Bock because I felt he would be a good scum kill but I changed my mind at the last second.
Dragonfire Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 No you're not, you're stalling. You have results, you told me you did and you are not sharing them here. This will cause confusion and will loose precious time for us all; I told you this in private, now get those results in and stop megablocking with us. Christ, we did not get a single scum result or lynch a single scum, why should today be different? I asked you who I should watch yesterday and your answer was "whomever but make sure to tell us after you send it in" what kind of coordination is this? Calm down Paul. I told you to choose who you wanted to watch because I don't want to know. Minga's technically vanilla. She shouldn't be knowing what you're going to do every night. Besides, she was taking precautions in case Clementine was scum and had the ability to intercept your action. And for the last time, Minga has not received the result of last night's investigation yet. Stop accusing her of stalling.
Hinckley Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I was selfish and I watched myself. I initially thought of watching Bock because I felt he would be a good scum kill but I changed my mind at the last second. 1. You were looking for the investigator by watching yourself and only admit it because you're afraid you would've been tracked. The only reason to watch yourself would be to see if you were killed...and then you wouldn't be able to tell anyone because you'd be dead. 2. Bock looks the Scummiest out of anybody because the bandwagon swayed off of him and to Rip, a Townie, in such an odd way. 3. You were a good Scum target because they could knock out a PR and with all the suspicion around you, you weren't likely to be protected. 4. Get a rope...
Piratedave84 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Listen to me. Everyone has claimed their roles to me. There's no need to massclaim. I have all the information, and I'm eagerly awaiting the investigation result. Once I have that, we'll see what will happen next. And how do you know the number of Scum? Do you mean you have claims for all the possible PRs or that EVERYONE claimed a PR?
Hinckley Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 clarification 1. you were looking for Town PRs because you're Scum and you want to kill them.
Dragonfire Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I was selfish and I watched myself. My logic was that I could confirm a claim if someone was to target me (i.e. the tracker, blocker, or cop). I initially thought of watching Bock because I felt he would be a good scum kill but I changed my mind at the last second. You do realise that our "town block" PM has gone stagnant because Clem and Minga don't trust you 100% ?? Although you've claimed watcher, your behaviour is quite blatantly Scummy. Minga's in contact with everyone in the game, and there are others whom she trusts over you. So you trust Bock now?
Hinckley Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Unless the town block has a reason NOT to believe one of the existing claims, I don't see any reason not to. It's been one day since you and Paul panic–claimed and you're Scumminess is still lingering in the air. But asking for a mass claim is helping that stench stick around. And how do you know the number of Scum? I noticed that too.
Dragonfire Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Do you mean you have claims for all the possible PRs or that EVERYONE claimed a PR? No, Minga means that everyone alive in the game right now at this very minute has claimed their role to her, whether it be vanilla or PR.
Hinckley Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I initially thought of watching Bock because I felt he would be a good scum kill but I changed my mind at the last second. Bock was also highly likely to be targeted by investigator, blocker or vig. You are giving Scummy reasons for watching a Scummy player. You...suck. Sorry.
Piratedave84 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 1. You were looking for the investigator by watching yourself and only admit it because you're afraid you would've been tracked. You were a good Scum target because they could knock out a PR and with all the suspicion around you, you weren't likely to be protected. 4. Get a rope... I was, yes looking for other PRs to talk to, my only link is Minga who is not very good at sharing. Like Seamus ... who is the SK? Bock was also highly likely to be targeted by investigator, blocker or vig. You are giving Scummy reasons for watching a Scummy player. You...suck. Sorry. I didn't know better. I have a PR, no one believes me what was I to do? Find other PRs was my first thought.
Hinckley Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Weird that Bock and 4 of 2 seem so interested in who was blocked. If the Scum know who was blocked then they'd know if their target was protected or not. Wouldn't the Scum just love to know what went wrong with their kill last night?
Dragonfire Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I was, yes looking for other PRs to talk to, my only link is Minga who is not very good at sharing. In case you didn't notice, Minga's not a PR. And she doesn't want everyone knowing all the information there is to know. Like Seamus ... who is the SK? Minga wonders why you'd think that. It's comparable to Clem's "Seamus is the Godfather!" from Day One. Saying he's scum is one thing, but saying he's the SK is another. How does one even SK-read a player? Please elaborate.
Hinckley Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Like Seamus ... who is the SK? Are you asking me who the SK is? Or accusing me of it?
Dragonfire Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Are you asking me who the SK is? Or accusing me of it? Accusing, Minga thinks. He told Minga that he thought you were the SK in his PM with Minga.
CMP Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Weird that Bock and 4 of 2 seem so interested in who was blocked. If the Scum know who was blocked then they'd know if their target was protected or not. Wouldn't the Scum just love to know what went wrong with their kill last night? Possibly? Isn't it worth that risk so that we can know who the scum killer/SK is so we can lynch them?
Hinckley Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 So, Scummy Paul has gone from accusing me of being Scum to accusing me of being the SK. Paul, what was your conversation with Harriet about?
Piratedave84 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Are you asking me who the SK is? Or accusing me of it? Minga told me he had a NA result on you and I think it's that you're the SK.
CMP Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Unless 4 of 2 is the scum killer I can't think of any reason they'd stay home. Or, hell, maybe the protector got SUPER lucky?
Piratedave84 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 So, Scummy Paul has gone from accusing me of being Scum to accusing me of being the SK. Paul, what was your conversation with Harriet about? About why he was parroting you. Didn't amount to much.
Hinckley Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Possibly? Isn't it worth that risk so that we can know who the scum killer/SK is so we can lynch them? Yes, possibly. But it's interesting that they don't want to know who was protected so they can weigh the options in absence of a kill. Minga told me he had a NA result on you and I think it's that you're the SK. It said there's no investigation result yet so what would indicate me as the SK?
Piratedave84 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 It said there's no investigation result yet so what would indicate me as the SK? My spidey-senses tell me you have some sort of action, I've suspected it since day 2 for some reason. Minga explicitly told me that due to last night's results he knew you were not scum after I pegged you as the SK.
Hinckley Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Minga explicitly told me that due to last night's results he knew you were not scum after I pegged you as the SK. That is an odd conclusion to jump to. Was the fact that nobody targeted me Night One a contributing factor to your brilliant deduction?
Lind Whisperer Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Frankly, I think we're basically at the point (based on our numbers) that we should just mass claim, lay everything out, and have the scum known to everyone. Unless the town block has a reason NOT to believe one of the existing claims, I don't see any reason not to. Why should we mass claim? That's basically giving the PRs to the scum with no perceivable benefits to the town. *ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping*
mostlytechnic Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 And how do you know the number of Scum? I don't KNOW the number, but it's the number that makes sense. And for the last time, Minga has not received the result of last night's investigation yet. Stop accusing her of stalling. Um, pretty sure this is the first time you've said that. In all your previous comments you never said that you didn't know the result, just that you weren't sharing it yet. It's been one day since you and Paul panic–claimed and you're Scumminess is still lingering in the air. But asking for a mass claim is helping that stench stick around. So? What does a massclaim hurt now? The scum know who the town is. Multiple PRs are known. About the only thing they don't know is who the SK is. But from our standpoint, we still outnumber the scum or the game would be over. Therefore, since we have a lynch and a vig kill still, we should be easily able to win still. Worst case, the town takes out 2 scum a day. The scum take out a townie, and the SK takes out another. We still win. Unless 4 of 2 is the scum killer I can't think of any reason they'd stay home. I stayed home because the block asked me to. And it made sense since they didn't have a guaranteed scum to take out. IF there's 5 scum and I had killed a townie, we'd have lost. Yes, possibly. But it's interesting that they don't want to know who was protected so they can weigh the options in absence of a kill. As a townie, who was protected is irrelevant to my analysis of scum identities. Knowing who was blocked is VERY relevant, since they're very likely a killer since we were missing 2 kills last night.
