Can we add police lights to an Enforcers Vehicle, or it´s too flagrant?

Yes, you can!

Is it possible, that transformation is done manually, just pulling something (some 4 things or more sepr\erately) out by hand, so that transformation is not done by some mechanisms turning one knob etc.?

I would also like to kindly ask to get answer for this question of Jurss, I am very interested in the answer, too. Thanks.

There aren't any rules stating what sort of methodology the transformation has to use. Whether or not it needs to be motorized has already been asked and answered (it doesn't). So I think you have your answer.

Main point of concern was whether it is allowed to use hands for activating/deploying/transforming the model, or it has to be operated by gears, knobs, levers, since both method are manual, but different...So, now we know it is allowed both. Thanks!

Manual operations are perfectly fine. Gears and knobs are not mandatory.

NOT allowed is removing parts from the body and attaching them somewhere else.

A few questions:

  • Is it correct to assume that, next to gray, dark gray is also allowed as a support colour (for Enforcers)?
  • How much gray (and dark gray) is allowed? For my current build I am making all the internals in gray. Most of it will be hidden in vehicle mode, but it all exposes in deployed mode.
  • I assume there's no problem when Enforcer vehicles show normal lights (white, red, orange) in vehicle mode. Correct?
  • How much studded detailing is allowed? I have used lots of slopes and tiles to achieve some nice details difficult to do studless, and I might opt for bricks/plates/tiles to avoid "beam-stacking" for large surfaces (I don't have enough panels).

Anyhow, my entry is coming along nicely. When I have an idea what to do as a weapon (because I'm still figuring that out) I will open a topic. I do have to say it's pretty boring to build everything in shades of gray. Makes me all the more happy with the blue pins, tan gears and red axles :P I know I could have chosen bandits, but black does best suit the type of vehicle.

I totally missed your question, sorry.

Dark grey is grey so that's indeed allowed. So are light grey and very light grey. There's no limit on the quantity of grey.

Lights are okay!

There's no limit on the quantity of studded details.

Yes it is (see my answer to Milan).

What is the rule on official Lego stickers on Enforcers? I have some panels with EV3 stickers that I'd like to use, but would prefer to leave the stickers in place.

Stickers are allowed, also official ones. EV3 stickers contain a lot of red, but the panels are white, so it's okay.

Since I am quite busy next week, I hereby postpone the contest deadline to the 16th of August. You will all have an extra week to finish your models!

Very good news! Thanks :)

All of the sudden, I have found myself in doubt about chassis color rule. Is black allowed as a bandit chassis? If not, I could easily rebuilt it in DBG, but just to check.

Wow, this extra week comes in very handy for me, really! I have zero experience on how to shoot videos, and I have next week off :D

Actually my model is 99% done, so I can use the extra week for taking the photos and video. I might even open the topic soon, and add the video later.

Thanks for the extra time I may actually finish the trailer. I have a question about my truck "Lights out", the main gun that winds out from the sleeper box has its ammo clip attached its side. So my question is, is it allowed or not allowed? that you have to take it off the side of the gun and put it on top of the guns 90 degree axle and pin connector, and also I'm having trouble fitting the 8L axle harpoon on the Crane between its claw and folding points so again having it slotted into the trailers side and removing it to put it in the firing mechanism allowed?. I just figured it was ammo like the two Technic competition cannons that you have to keep on reloading that are on the truck. I ask because I know you cant take things off and put them back on but is ammo allowed to be done like that?

Sorry, I forgot to reply.

I am tempted to allow black in the Bandits models, since it's not prominent/outstanding. But I am not sure whether anyone has a problem with that. The rules state it's not allowed, but I think black in the chassis doesn't do any harm. It's different than colors in an Enforcer's chassis.

Maybe black in chassis will be allowed while it's not visible from outside? I don't know how to replace gear racks and tow ball links...

In Technic model it is very hard to make chassis invisible, especially with transformation. I would say All Black, or All Gray, or All Colors except for Black. It is best to wait for a official confirmation.

Regarding your gear racks and tow ball links, a little bit of black is allowed in any case.

I must not have read the rules close enough as I used black for the chassis in my model. I vote we allow it, as I’m pretty sure I do not have the parts I need in other colors or the time to reconstruct my entry, and I would like to still participate in the contest. I understand if black is not allowed however.

I will allow Black in the chassis of a Bandit as long as the bodywork is colored.
