kevkipo Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Lego have already done two Avengers Assemble sets, "Captain America vs. Hydra and Hulk Lab Smash." So I'd guess that we'll see two sets again this year, with 3 Civil War, and probably 3 to 4 Spiderman sets WHY so many Spider-man? his movie isn't coming out next year y'know. Leave the table open for the new ones like Doc Strange! Quote

KCMatze Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Said Quicksilver to Quicksilver But I think so, too. Spidey is Marvels Batman! Quote
Quicksilver Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 Said Quicksilver to Quicksilver But I think so, too. Spidey is Marvels Batman! You didn't see that coming. You're True with the Batman and Spidey comparison though. As long as he brings home the dough for Disney, we'll continue to see sets based off him, his supporting characters and his rouges. (C'Mon Mysterio and Spider Gwen, eventually) Quote

(C'Mon Mysterio and Spider Gwen, eventually) Look, personally I LOVE spiderman, but he has gotten toooo many sets, and most of them are a big disappointment (looking at you rhino and sandman) and unless they made a completely new variant for spiderman I would rather have a Doc strange set. EDIT: But if I can get both I will take both options! Edited June 14, 2015 by Hawkeye616 Quote

EDIT: But if I can get both I will take both options! Well, they do have the Iron Spider and Miles Morales variations this year, and with Agent Venom and Scarlet Spider joining his show recently, we could see some more team Spider members and potentially some new variants for our friendly neighborhood Spidey. (Spider Armour, Superior Spider-Man, Bullet Proof Spider-Man etc.) But I agree with that the builds are somewhat lacking. (I'm looking at you Spider Helicopter and Trike) Quote
The Lego Nolan Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Oh no.. that pic increases the probability of us not actually getting a helmet piece for cap in civil war sets. I mean sure they could use it for the Civil War sets and not for the AA, but wouldn't it make sense to use it in more than one set if a new mold was made? So i guess helmetless cap will strike again in civil war sets.. I saw this at target last year so I don't think it means anything. Quote
Hawkeye616 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 There's a rumor that daredevil might actually appear in civil war (link here if you want to read the article) http://www.slashfilm.com/page-2-1077/?utm_source=zergnet.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=zergnet_577848 This might be a good opportunity to make a daredevil minifig, but that might not happen if he doesn't have a major role sadly. The Chosen Minifigure Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 (C'Mon Mysterio and Spider Gwen, eventually) Dude. Exact same wavelength. Also, we can't be the only ones who think Mysterio is underrated? Quote
kevkipo Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 I wouldn't count on it, Civil War is already packed with characters. Tho i'd love to see Matt in there he's always welcome Quote
Quicksilver Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 Dude. Exact same wavelength. Also, we can't be the only ones who think Mysterio is underrated? Oh yeah. Mysterio is one of the Coolest spider-Man Villains ever. Maybe he'll show up in 2016's Ultimate Spider-Man vs The Sinister Six Animated series. Quote
Zodack Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Oh yeah. Mysterio is one of the Coolest spider-Man Villains ever. Back when I was in elementary school I got a pretty alright Spider-Man game out of a cereal box and Mysterio was one of the more memorable boss fights because he made himself gigantic. There was a cheat that made a goldfish swim around inside his head like a fishbowl, too. I'm not big into Spider-Man but if they were to make more figs I'd love to see Mysterio (they just did Carnage which makes me very happy) or... Monster Ock (please don't LEGO). I would also love a Black Cat fig. Quote

As a kid, I remember watching the Spider-Man Animated Series and how Carnage was my favorite Spider-Man villain (with my brother's being Venom.) Oh boy… good times :) Edited June 23, 2015 by Legocity2713 Quote

The Chosen Minifigure Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Look up the Lego Sandy Cheeks minifig. That helmet would be perfect. Quote
Hawkeye616 Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I never really liked Ultimate Spiderman (the show, I love miles morales spiderman) most of the villains weren't as well executed as they where in Espectacular Spiderman. I will always be gratefull for the Ultimate Spidey sets since they gave us Nova, Power man, Beetle, and company. But I would LOVE espectacular spiderman sets, sadly it is too late for that. Quote
SMC Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Think we will see any sets at sdcc, like the dc set. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Think we will see any sets at sdcc, like the dc set. I hope we do but it seems unlikely. They won't reveal a civil war set. If anything, maybe a Spiderman set which was rumored to be in 2016 or maybe even a avengers assemble set. Quote
ultron1234 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Does anyone think we could see a Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D set next year. Quote
SMC Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 After making the second x-men set yesterday, I need more is there anyway we will get another set next year? Quote
tafkatb Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Well, if one were to extrapolate a "pattern" from a whopping two data points, one could say that we've gotten an X-Men set every even-numbered year since the Super Heroes theme began. Quote
SMC Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Yeah so we are hoping 3 sets in 5 years as the best we can hope for which is kind of sad. Quote
Shib Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I'd love an additional X-men set, mainly for mini figures but it's hard to think what else LEGO could put out for one short of a largish set like the Xavier school...while theres the whole hoo-haa going on between Marvel and Fox over character rights I wouldn't expect anything, that way anything we do get becomes an absolute bonus! Quote
legofreak86 Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 (edited) Personally I reckon they'll be about 5 or 6 civil war sets, then 2 spider-man or another animated based thing and one doctor strange sort of like this year. Civil war clearly looks to be as big as AOU and unlike TWS Lego has already been slated as making sets for it.There looks to be a lot of set potential and a humungous cast of characters, from the likes of Cap and Iron Man in new variations, to Falcon,Scarlet Witch, Ant Man, Winter Soldier, Zemo, maybe even the first appearance of MCU's spider man. Lots to cover. Edited July 4, 2015 by legofreak86 Quote
