Jreacher Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 So I destroyed my Dragon keep and built this castle. Its the new home of the Dragon Knights. I am still working on the rooms (its modular) and the back wall comes off so you can get into the small court yard. The baseplate is from The Royal Knights Castle set from the 90's. The MOC is classically built, with simple architecture. It was a fun build, took a few hours and I like this better then the twin tower keep i had them in before. Captain Dee Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 That is one black castle! It's a fitting home for those 2013 dragon knights, who don't seem to get much respect around these parts. It's an imposing structure and looks pretty solid. A few more interior details would be nice but it looks playable as it is and you've certainly manned it with a strong number of soldiers. Good work. Balbo Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Nice Black Castle It's great seeing one of the old base plates. The two ghosts are nice, too Quote
Jreacher Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 Thanks, I would have liked to add some dark grey in the mix but sadly didnt have enough of what i needed. Quote
MAB Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 It could really do with some texture adding on the walls, such as the grille or log bricks or some snot bricks with tiles on the sides. Quote

I like the classic smooth look myself. And then theres the other factor, I just dont have extra to spend on bricks to do textures. Quote
Blufiji Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) Really reminds me of the lego castle sets from back in the early 90's..you know the ones where you could break down the walls and have real battles with. Edited June 12, 2015 by Blufiji Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I would suggest putting some red 1x1 barrels as decorations. All black builds look boring, and you have a quite nice shape there. Quote

knight_40k Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Nice castle! Great use of the baseplate. I need to build my 2013 dragon knights a fortress as well. Some contrasting color would have been nice but I totally understand being limited on bricks. If you have any 1x2 crosshole peices I think putting a few of those dragon sheilds into the structures main enterance would go a long way for faction identification purposes, imo. Quote
