I remember a topic from a few months ago about someone who managed to fit the PF battery box under the train base on a MOC of theirs. I've been trying to find it, using the search box, google, and just about every word combination I can think of, but I still can't find it. Can anyone help me? I'd like to use this on a MOC soon.

Which PF battery box? The AAA or the AA or rechargeable?

I remember reading/seeing that somewhere too... Did you search flickr? I think there were concept fotos on there...

But yeah, I can't remember if that guy mounted the AAA bat box under a 6x28 train base, or if he made his own base...

Yes you could. But the post specifically mentioned a standard train base. Also, making the base out of normal plates doesn't change the fact that the floor of the carriage needs to be much higher to fit the battery box underneath. That's what I wanted to show with the illustration.

I understand this, however, it is my preference to offer practical, working solutions to problems rather than reiterating the impossible aspects. Plates provide enough flexibility to hollow out the center so that the battery box can be straddled partially above and below the base.

...like maybe using this piece to allow the space? I don't have a battery box to test currently, but would it fit in the cutout?
