Actionfigure Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 (edited) Hello, this is my egyptian mummy. It is by far my biggest MOC! ... ( It´s 1,50 m tall) It can stand without help! The eyes open by a button on the back of the head. The bandages left brown marks on the skin. Not everything is in good preservation! For transport... Edited April 12, 2015 by Actionfigure Quote
Robert8 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Amazing MOC! It looks pretty accurate to the real thing I like the detail of the teeth, but I think they'd look better using yellow pieces Congratulations! Quote
Balbo Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Amazing work I love how you made the head and the teeth Quote
Zerobricks Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Very unique and artistic. Awesome use of colors and I like the detailed head. Quote
Colossus Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Good damn gravy. That's the creepiest MOC I've ever seen! Brilliant! Quote
Master_Data Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 (edited) Nice work! How long did it take you to build this? Edited April 13, 2015 by Master_Data Quote
Iria Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Interesting MOC creation and well executed. Impressive that it can stand on its own at that height. I'm still taller, but not by much. Quote
Boxerlego Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Wow, that is very impressive MOC! Do you plan to build the Mummy's sarcophagus. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 That is huge! I can't imagine how many bricks that must have consumed. Quote
Actionfigure Posted April 14, 2015 Author Posted April 14, 2015 Nice work! How long did it take you to build this? Thank you very much! I actually took more than six months - with stoppage. Bricks run out very quickly! Interesting MOC creation and well executed. Impressive that it can stand on its own at that height. I'm still taller, but not by much. Thank you very much! I was surprised myself! Wow, that is very impressive MOC! Do you plan to build the Mummy's sarcophagus. Thank you very much! Ähh...no. It is standing in a showcase at home. A sarcophagus would be too much ... for my budget anyway. That is huge! I can't imagine how many bricks that must have consumed. I actually don´t know! But I hat to go to the local lego store several times to collect the bricks on the pick a brick wall. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Now that's impressive........planning for somewhere for it lay ? Brick On 'Actionfigure' ! Quote
Silly_donkey Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 This is amazing. My favorite part is the opening eyes. How about a motion sensor so they open when someone walks by? Quote
telaruhn Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Impressive. It took me a minute to realize the gray were exposed parts, but that bandage effect looks amazing. I also love the exposed bone on the lower left leg. Quote
Actionfigure Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Thank you very much! This is amazing. My favorite part is the opening eyes. How about a motion sensor so they open when someone walks by? That would be great! But I am not so skilled in working with Mindstorms. Got it as a present over twelve years ago... and failed! I did not try it in during the last ten years. I even don´t know if the computerbrick still works. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I don't think I have ever seen old and new gray work in such perfect unison. This is an amazing piece worthy of being in an art exhibit. Quote
Heksu Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Yes! This is awesome!:D Every living room needs a piece of art like this. ;) Great job, Actionfigure! Quote
Slurpifier Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 All of the mocs I have seen from you continue to amaze me! The size of this; I'd like to see it in real life, with someone standing beside it! Quote
Actionfigure Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 Thank you very much! All of the mocs I have seen from you continue to amaze me! The size of this; I'd like to see it in real life, with someone standing beside it! Thank you! I am afraid, you would be disapointed! I is just 1,50 m tall. That´s not very tall in comparison to a normal person. (But he is an ancient egyptian without intervertebral discs, so it might be realistic ) Quote
Trance89 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 This is absolutely amazing! Do you draw your MOC's on brickpaper before you create them? Quote
Actionfigure Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 This is absolutely amazing! Do you draw your MOC's on brickpaper before you create them? Thank you! No, I just start to build. I start with the face and the head. The body follows top-down. I ascertain the proportions by the parts, which I have already built. Quote
