I have designed this reinforced differential for a large 2 differential steering system for a very large tank model in the far future. I lack the small turntables to build this at the moment, but I believe this will function correctly and be a medium sized differential that doesn't utilize the large turntables. Since I lack the small turntables, I think this will work, but I'm not sure how well it will hold up to torsional stress, but this could be fixed if there is 2 gears being used to power both turntables in sync. It may be prone to seperation where the turntables are connected to the main frame of the differential.

I reinforced the differential

Version 3, I took Zblj's suggestion and replaced the 20z's with knob gears.

For even further locking of all parts you might want to use two thin 5L beams with crossholes at the end instead of the 5L thick beam in the center. That way the #1 connectors are fixed in rotation. In practice it will stiffen the structure I think.

This differential build looks like it is going well. It will be interesting to see how the reinforced differential will work out with both kinds of gearing bevel and knob. The knob gears when under high load tend squeak after a little while.

For some odd reason I forgot to have the newer color for the 5 long axles, the instructions have been updated, and I am preparing to upload this to rebrickable. Also I will begin designing a XL dual differential steering system.

Has anyone actually built this?

From the pictures i think it will break under high load

It should be structurally solid, if it is reinforced correctly in the frame around it. Where do you think the differential will break ?

If you look at this picture

I think there is nothing that prevents the turntable on the right side to go "up" (and the left one to go "down")

But i think it has to be built to check that

That's the only place that I worried about, but if the differential is build in a sturdy frame, I don't think it will be possible to force the central section out, as It would require an immense amount of force between the wheels.
