roxXx5 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Looking great so far but i'm a bit worried about those grinding teeth which can easily harm sourrunding parts! Quote
Sariel Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 is it good for crawling? Sure, provided there's food in front of it. Quote

BusterHaus Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I like it but I don't want to know how you insert the battery pack. Quote

Edwin Korstanje Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Mine daughter have the same type of a hamster moc, but don't wanted ride at mine ships even with a lot of food, maybe he get seasick . Great video  Quote
PeterF Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 The image at 20 seconds (showing the drive train) had me laughing out loud. And this was also the first time ever that my wife showed interest in a LEGO forum post. :-) BTW, the comment above about grinding teeth is for me a close second to the Best. Comment. Ever. Quote
TinkerBrick Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 This just made my day! Great work. Regarding the possible interference sunlight <-> IR - no problem in real life use - it's night active by nature. Quote
Milan Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Whats with you guys? It is not really a Lego moc with Duplo bear skin on it. Its Paul's hamster! Cant you see??? Quote
jantjeuh Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Why hasn't this been submitted to Rebrickable yet, Sariel? I'm waiting but it's not showing up in the MOC queue. Can't you see that people are going crazy ofur it? Quote
Blakbird Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Whats with you guys? It is not really a Lego moc with Duplo bear skin on it. Its Paul's hamster! Cant you see??? The fact that you think this is just a testament to the stunning realism of Pawel's stunning creation. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Excellent, this is a whole new level of "How did he do that?" The autonomous maze run feature is unusual, you don't usually see that many semi autonomous Lego things, Mindstorms or otherwise. Although, I have made a similar, though larger model, based on a hedgehog, which I gave to my sister. Instead of the maze mode, mine rolls into a ball. Which he does often. My sister loves him, and was kind of amazed that I was able to get the cute hedgehog face just right. *Cough* I'm kidding, but my sister really does have a pet hedgehog, just like Sariel has a pet hamster. It also has an almost real artificial intelligence, using classified Lego Mindstorms technology. Quote

D3K Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Pretty impressive MOC indeed! Not so sure about the suspension setup, but the drive and transmission seem solid! But it looks like the battery placement might interfere with the drive motor. Overall, I give it a Quote

TinkerBrick Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I just watched it again. Would be even greater with some chrome pieces. Quote
Sariel Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 I don't know about the chrome pieces, but I just added a new function: retractable landing gear: Quote
