HorcikDesigns Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) Hi, I am not sure whether it is in right forum, but it is nearly scaled to the technic fig, so I've submitted it here. Since the end of my dark ages (not too dark as somebody can imagine, but Lego was not simply my main timeeater), I wanted to merge my two hobbies, drawing cars and building with bricks. Finally, in January 2015 I finished a drawing of Lego Classic Space themed hot rod. The step two was to build it. So, here it is. Full album: https://www.flickr.c...57651110167295/ Comparsion of the two steps: It has no function, also the wheels can not roll. (only the engine can be stripped out of the car, and putting it back is not easy ) The yellow-tan hoose is not original Lego. I tried to use it as a substitution of pneumatic hooses, but it slipped down very easily. However, it has an awesome color for a Space car! So, hope you like it. ;) Edited March 1, 2015 by Gzzig Quote
Zerobricks Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 The drawing AND model are both awesome! Any way to make the model roll? Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 ...Any way to make the model roll? Thank you. Yes, there is (e.g. different wheel hubs or wheels), but I do not want - the body is quite fragile, and rolling it would cause many problems. Maybe I will later look into the possibility of assembling bigger and PFed version, but right now I have not enough blue bricks to make it ... Quote

Graydingo Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Love these 60's bubble hot rods. I wonder how motorcycle tires would would look? You can get that skinny tire look. Quote
Lakop Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Love it. I agree, motorcycle tyres might add something else to it. H Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 Thanks. Yes, I agree too, but the moto-tires are not availible in this scale, are they? (I am not sure... ) However, for the bigger one they would be definitely better. Quote
Andy D Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 The drawing AND model are both awesome! Any way to make the model roll? I agree with Zbli... Both the drawing and LEGO model are great! Too bad there is no way to realize the bubble top with LEGO, but the roadster is great on it's own. Thanks for sharing this, Andy D Quote
