As you watch the footage of the Lego Ideas studio, sitting on the shelf i noticed this prototype:

I like it, and I would probably consider buying it

That´s old news, people was speculating about that pic just like you a few years ago, that droid is the last thing that caught my eye, there are other more interesting stuff like the yavin temple.

There's something far more interesting in this pic. One pigeon hole to the right of the probe droid is the UCS TIE fighter set. That canopy looks intriguing.

That model TIE sure looks to be in UCS scale... very high likely hood that is a proto for the set rumored for later this year. I am also intrigued by the yellow ship below the proto Slave I pictured. I've never seen a ship like that one before, can anyone identify it?

Good catch, most likely the one will be seeing. As for the yellow ship, the only ship I can think of that it just about resembles is Anakin's Jedi Inteceptor, barely though.

A TFA set perhaps?

...I just want the shelf of minifig-scale speeder bikes visible in a similar pic of such shelves in Lego HQ... so many neat types that Lego just hasn't put into many sets.

That picture is, as has been said already, quite some years old.

It's a clone wars set, one Padmé flew in the dark shadow virus episodes. It didn't make production though.

I see a red tie it looks like the one from the keeled ep7 photo

No, what you see is a red TIE Interceptor, used by the Royal Guard in the Legends EU... it's been around for many years; Hasbro made a Titanium version of it several years ago, and the X-Wing miniatures game had one in its Imperial Aces expansion pack.

As others have noted, the image containing the one-off Lego model of the crimson squint is old. No TFA sneak-peeks to be found.

Bad copy; it should actually have small side wings in as well... Look closely at the LEOG version; it does have the side wings

If you mean the thing near the lower left, in the original release of the Lego Star Wars Visual Dictionary, it was explained in Chapter 4, "Beyond the Brick," that that was an unreleased sketch model of the Yavin 4 base.

Cheers,
