Well, at the very end of the video we can see for a bit the rear of the crane box were we can see the tower crane pic..

All in all i think would be great to have such a crane..even if i previously wrote it's orrible

Best video yet, great quality! (he talks in German)

I can translate :D

Interesting, he says the pneumatic system is 2.0 because it is 'more flowing' or smoother than the previous product.

Anyone know why he demonstrates the cabin tilting up? Is there a function hidden in there?

By tilting up the trucks cabin you can have a look at the L6 engine, that's basically it.

Oh, I didn't know it had a L6 engine. I can't see it in any of the videos. Where is it exactly?

Tilting the cabin is the function. For large cranes the cabs can tilt to enable a better view for the operator

The crane looks like a IHI CCH500, with the right-hand cab. I am looking forward to what the ultimate 42042 will look like, picture full IR and a 2 meter+ boom and jib.

I would love a better look at the tracks, inside and outside. As well as a good peek inside with the cab lifted up to see the engine and turntable.

Thank you. ;)

In the other thread about the Mercedes Truck, there was quite a few exchanges/speculations about the new turntable in that truck. One wonders if this crane is also fitted with the same LARGE turntable. My calculations, based on a picture in the other thread, suggest that the turntable has anywhere from 64 to 72 teeth, whereas others are guessing only 60 (In contrast, the current large turntable has 56 teeth). Anyone spotted 'details' about the turntable in the crane's videos?

How much taller is your design? also, is that an ultimate build??

Not sure about the height of my version yet, I'm planning a jib similar to the 8288 A-model which will add quite a bit of height as well.

Normally my MOCs and MODs are stripped of PF and RC functions, because I prefer manual power and control for various reasons. This time however, I wanted to keep the battery box as a counterweight, and therefore I kept the PF motor as well. But if you look for a fully PF and RC crane, I have to disappoint you.

I will make a separate topic for this MOD/MOC in due time.

This looks like the new turntable to me.

I've been busy reverse engineering this bad boy. I can say for sure the turntable is the same size and has the same connection points as the old one.

There are more than 25 (maybe 30) 1x15 beams in blue. Thats a lot.

There are a minimum of 30 15L beams and 19 7L beams in blue. So far the colors seem to be:

15L Blue

13L DBG, White

11L Blue, DBG, Black

9L LBG

7L Blue, White

5L Black

3L Blue, white

2L DBG

1L DBG. (New ring)

Angled beams come in blue and white.
