STAT Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 So for a while now I have been thinking about organizing a Lego event. During that event I can off course show of my own collection. Although it is getting faily large I do not believe it is enough to call it an event. What do you guys think I would need to organize to make it attractive for people to come. Quote
Zerobricks Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Greetings! And where would you organize your event? You need a LUG, maybe a website, promotion... Quote
STAT Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 Website, promotion and all those things is not a problem. I'm thinking about holding it in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Quote
paul_delahaye Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 There must be a LEGO user group local in the Netherlands? You probably should join/get in touch with them, and see if another couple of local members could also create an exhibition between you all, this should overcome the challenge of you having enough. Alternatively, find an already existing exhibition in the Netherlands, and go along as an exhibitor? Quote
Saint Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 You can always contact the Dutch clubs : De Bouwsteen , a group of builders / collectors , these are organized in a Club, and Lowlug. these are organized online . You can always try BeLug, de Belgian club who has some very good builders in their mist. ( I'm a member of Belug and do a show with them in November in Antwerpen ) You should hold in mind that you need a lot of permissions, ensurance and safety rules in place if you start something like this, it's quite hard to do something like that over here. Good luck ! Quote
samurai-turtle Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 You might want to start small. I know the local Public Library host a weekly LEGO Club. But, that is for kids and I never went to it. Quote
