deraven Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Er, well… from the Site Guidelines, Item #1: Welcome to Eurobricks! Age: Eurobricks is a site intended for an adult audience, which for the purpose of these guidelines are people of around the age of 18 or greater. We reserve the right to ban anyone who does not meet that requirement. Posting that you are not an adult is a quick way to be banned. If you choose to ignore these guidelines and sign up anyway, it is not our responsibility if you are offended by what you read or see. Similarly, if you are an adult who is offended by what is often labeled as adult content, you should probably avoid this site. So, I guess that would be a "yes." Why should you leave? Are you specifically looking for a younger crowd? Just because is for 18+ members doesn't mean we don't discuss silly things or topics of interest to the younger fans that most of know (or have in our households). Now, if you yourself are much younger and signed up anyway and now find that the discussion doesn't interest you, then I would definitely suggest trying a different forum. Otherwise, the membership here is so diverse (and generally good-natured and polite) that I think you'll find something to interest you if you just have a good look around. Quote
Gremer Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 It seems that, instead of strictly being an AFOL site, they do allow TFOLs that can act like adults. That's just my personal observation. Quote
deraven Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 It seems that, instead of strictly being an AFOL site, they do allow TFOLs that can act like adults. That's just my personal observation. Absolutely. That's why I said "much younger" in my response, and even in the guidelines it says "around" 18 and "if you choose to ignore these guidelines" which seems to confirm that. In my experience I'm pretty sure I've come across users here who are earlier in their teens who are well spoken, respectful, and add value to the conversation, and are easily accepted as part of the community. So, while I myself wouldn't say that EB is "only" for AFOLs, based on the tone of the original question it seems like they must be looking for a significantly different crowd. Quote
deraven Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Ok! Thank you guys! Sure thing. Hope you stay a while! Quote
Heppeng Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I do hope you have not been put off by Paperballparks comments in the Train Station as a Modular thread. The vast majority here have much more respect than that. Quote

Borex Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Sometimes i do have the feeling that there are a lot of kids operating on this forum as well. Especially regarding to licensed themes and their rumour threads. Quote
TheLegoExperience Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) Sometimes i do have the feeling that there are a lot of kids operating on this forum as well. Especially regarding to licensed themes and their rumour threads. Any good news comes out and a few always use so many exclamations!!!!! and emojis. It gets annoying. Tariq j Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 ^^ To add on to that point, what also gets annoying is the excessive use of block capitals that are sometimes used. "WHEN ARE THE NEW PICTURES COMING OUT!!!" Quote
