I wanted to share with you my work in progress. I want to build a minifig scale Caserta Palace from Caserta, Italy.

The palace looks like this:

@lightningtiger i don't think i will build it for real because it will have about 100.000-200.000 pieces and i don't have that kind of money. However, it's good practice

Ok so right now i have finished 3 exterior walls and part of the roof assembling apx. 43000 pieces. Because of the slope of the roof tiles i think it will be a bit narrower than the real thing but, unfortunately, i don't have a solution with existing pieces that will preserve the symmetry of the build.

Unfortunately, i think because of the large number of pieces my LDD keeps crashing. Do you know any solution to this?

I think what you are experiencing is normal for LDD. Rarely can I open a model with pieces over 40k, and models over 10k require that I turn off the outlines on bricks.
