For me persoanlly I dont buy almost no new stuff and being almost a year without pernament work (had some contracto work) is really getting to me

So how does the lack of a job affect your hobby?

As a matter of fact I've been without a job for the past year as well. Still haven't been able to find a job. But my previous job paid enough for me to rack up plenty of savings, and (at least in this country) we get Social Security. I don't spend as much money on Lego as I used to, but I can still enjoy my hobby! I look for good offers on the internet and in my local shops. This is actually giving me a thrill; finding sets at half off! Also, I ask for Lego sets for the holidays, birthday, and any other occasion. To make some money back on the Lego I've bought, I sell the bricks and figs I don't use

I retired early, when my job was being moved, I didn't want to leave behind all my family and friends and house. So now I get a pension, and its less than a third of what I was earning. I have managed to do OK though, still buying too much Lego...haha. This next year though, I will want to be more selective with what I want to get. I always look for sales and deals too.

I keep looking for possible new jobs, but its not very often I see anything. I wish you all luck in finding something soon.

Personally I really just wanna leave this country and go search for something better. While the land is nice, the politics, economic status, etc is really poor... Only problem I have is finding a job abroad...

I retired myself when my employer decided to cut all our overtime pay but still expected us to work nights and weekends. Now i live off my wife's pension, lol. I can only afford to buy real Lego if it's on sale otherwise I have to buy the cheaper clone bricks.

I am a freelancer and have been for the better part of 5 years now. If I don't find work, I don't earn money. It is tough but It is enjoyable. I would rather work from home than be out in this crazy world.

What kind of work do you do?
