Richter Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Hello! I am currently building a 4x4 Volkswagen T3 panel van.It weighs about 2.5kg and it has portal axles, which makes it quite low on speed, but gives high amount of torque. The only thing that bothers me is the large turning radius of the front axle. This causes the wheels to stuck to the edges of the wheelarches and so the running gear starts to grind. Otherwise it works fine although its quite slow Some pictures are found here Can anybody help me what should I do when it says "You have exceeded your allotted disk space for attachments" Quote
Zerobricks Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 You can reduce the seteering point distance from the wheel by an additional stud by using the CV joint instead of U joint. But the steering angle will be limited to some 25-30 degrees. Quote
Richter Posted December 6, 2014 Author Posted December 6, 2014 by using the CV joint instead of U joint Unfortunately I do not have any CV joints so I have to find a way to do it with usual U joints... Quote
zux Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 You could try making arches slightly larger, or move wheels inside the body as it is in real cars. Can anybody help me what should I do when it says "You have exceeded your allotted disk space for attachments" Here Quote
