Doctor_ocks Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Just a small MOC for LUG shows and shelf display at home. Started out life as an exercise in using the arches in a snot technique to try to capture how the Lothal buildings all curve into the ground seamlessly. Also have had the bug to do an explosion so this was my first try at that. As far as the lettering goes, I tried to match the font as best I could. Oh and please ignore the Sabine stand-in :D Yeash just noticed all the small purple/black dots in the pictures. My iPhone must have some pocket lint on the lens lol Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I like the whole blockbuster-like look. Awesome explosion too. Quote
Only Sinner Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 You have made a great scene here, I like the dynamic explosion and the artisic font of the sign. With no helmet for poor Sabine in the forseeable future, I don't know how you could have done that part any better except paint or custom parts. Quote
Doctor_ocks Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 Thanks guys. Yeah I've seen some awesome Sabine creations, but not without either spending good money on arealight customs or painting. I'm not willing to do either at this point. I'll just wait :) Quote
TWP Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Nice MOC! looks like the perfect SW Rebels shelf display. Quote
Mr Man Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 It is a good looking MOC, again it's a shame about the lack of a proper Sabine. Quote
BJM Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 That is really pretty nice. I love the explosion - with the rubble all flung out that works really well giving the whole thing colour and focus away from the figs. Great stuff. Quote
aaroncb Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 if they made a lego rebels movie/one off episode, this would probably be the poster for it! haha. good job. i can't even pick at you over the sabine stand in since that's not on you, so i'll give it a solid 10/10 Quote
Doctor_ocks Posted December 7, 2014 Author Posted December 7, 2014 Thanks again guys. I appreciate it! It'll sit on the shelf until Lego gives us our Sabine! Quote
3BrickFriends Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Great little scene. Love the action in the explosion with the Stormtroopers. Quote
