Hello fellow LEGO-folks.

As it is my first time posting to any LEGO message board, I'd like to ask a few quick questions, in order to stay within the guidelines.

1) May I ask the users within this message board to give me feedback on my photography?

1.1) Assuming the answer is yes, should the pictures then be posted in a specific picture group, or at a group of the LEGO theme. E.g Star Wars picture in a Star Wars group.

2) I've got an Instagram and a Facebook account, both LEGO oriented. May I advertise these in a signature?

I think that's it for now. As for an introduction.. My name is Alexander Valeur and I've grown up in Denmark, where I've lived for 22 years, then In 2012 I moved to Mexico. I love traveling, hence my hobby of taking pictures with Minifigures wherever I go. In March I started posting pictures on Instagram of LEGO Gandalf, which quickly escalated into more serious photography. I currently have 15.000 followers on Instagram and my work is featured on a monthly basis in Blocks Magazine.

Thanks for letting me hang out with you guys & girls. I'm sure I can learn a lot from you all. :-)

All the best,

Alexander Valeur

Welcome to Eurobricks, Alexander!

Check out the EB Site Guidlines and FAQ to answer most questions.

From my experience, the answers to your questions can be seen in existing topics and posts.

1) Yes, photography is part of the LEGO hobby, and many users have posted about photography looking for tips and help.

1.1) There are topics about photography under sub-forums, so I would search for existing topics within the same category sub-forum (such as Star Wars Photography). If you have a specific question about photography in general, it seems to fit in the General LEGO Discussion forum, as "photography" is one of the sub-headings.

2) According to the FAQ, you are limited on how many links can be in your signature based on the number of posts on Eurobricks, but links to Facebook and Instagram are not banned (as far as I can tell). I believe you can have 2 links in your signature once you reach 10 posts and acquire the rank of "Vassal".

Hopefully a Moderator can shed some light on this as well, so there is authority behind it. I also hope I have not taken more authority than I should have in answering these questions, but I tried to only refer to authority (Site Guidelines and FAQ) rather than claim my own authority.

I am looking forward to seeing your pictures and other contributions to this community!

1. Yes you can ask whether they like your photography (Which I think looks great! )

Awesome, thank you for your reply WarSquirrel :-)

I'll stick to the rules you mention. Otherwise a moderator is free to contact me. Thank you Slegengr. :-)

Hi Alex!

What will you photograph?

Welcome :classic:

Lots of different things. I've got a bunch of pictures already on Instagram and Facebook. If you look up Bricks In Focus, it should pop up. I'll post a Batman picture on this forum in a few minutes. Thank you Zblj :-)
