JanetVanD Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Greetings! I'm Janet VanD and I come to you from the lovely green isle of Ireland. I am a seriously addicted LEGO fan who fell in love with the brick at the tender age of four, built constantly as a child but had a shamefully long dark age of 25 years!!!!! Emerging from those dark days only a few years ago, I was building MOCs all by my lonesome self (with just supportive family members to cheer me on) until last January when I stumbled upon the wonderful members of the Irish LUG, Brick.ie, of which I am now a member. It's been a fantastic experience so far; being part of a LUG has really enriched my life and made me aware of all that LEGO and the fan community has to offer. It's great to be able to chat with folk who not only understand the passion but share it! (Before, people looked at me oddly whenever I tried to discuss the merits of a particular brick or compared one shade of grey with another) I love all things LEGO but my main areas of interest are large, detailed buildings, castle & fantasy themes and organic pieces with plenty of plants and natural features. Here are some examples of my most recent MOCs (Click images for direct links to the galleries): It was my Brick.ie friends who encouraged me to join Eurobricks but I took a while getting to it because I'm not very good at computer stuff (I usually click bricks, not mice!) and joining a big forum seems a bit scary but I guess it just takes getting used to, one brick at a time! kinggregus Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) Hi Janet. Glad to see you here. I had seen your MOCs somewhere and I was trully impressed. I think a friend of yours had posted that amazing Tomb Raider MOC. Anyway, I am really looking forward some new ones. What are you working on now? Edited November 10, 2014 by kinggregus Quote

Dfenz Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) Welcome to Eurobricks. You finally made it - the broadband signal must be good tonight !!! The Brick2014 attendees are in for a treat with that aquarium you are bringing. PS I can't believe that there have been 128,000 new members since I signed up to EB.
