Srbandrews Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 (edited) Hi guys. I recently discovered a project I really loved on the Lego Ideas page of a narrow gauge steam locomotive (https://ideas.lego.com/projects/35520) Which gave me the idea of doing a little, boxy diesel shunter for 2-wide rails. It's intended to be a kind of a cross between the little tractory-type diesels you get on narrow gauge lines and the mainline diesel shunters like the British Rail class 08 (my favourite locomotive of all time). It's the only train-type build I've ever done but I'm quite happy with how it turned out - feedback and suggestions however would be very welcome. Edited November 1, 2014 by Srbandrews Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 What a cute little model. And its your first train! Good work, Quote
zephyr1934 Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 It's a great little build, especially considering it is your first train MOC. You did a good job of capturing the essence of a BR 08 Quote
KeepLeft Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I think the view from the front looks the best. I like the idea of this scale train and it would be nice to see a passenger train like this. Quote
Srbandrews Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 Thanks! I'm definitely considering doing some more in the same scale. Railway locomotives seem to make more acceptable display pieces for 'normal' houseguests than Lord of the Rings and Star Wars models. Quote
