oo7 Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 A place to post photographs you take throughout your life travels; not Lego, of course. Personally, I will post photos digitally edited only by cropping. In other words, all colors original. Click the picture for a larger size. I spotted this beauty in Florida wildness; This was from a pond in a wildlife preserve; Palm Beach, Florida; Clouds; The Infinite Sea of Lost Hopes and Dreams; X-D Horizon of Fire; Sunset at 38,000 feet; Back in Westchester; Quote
Sir Dillon Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I like some of those sunset pictures, 007. I only have a 2 megapixel camera, so it can be a little diffacult to get good pictures. These are my favorites: Quote
Scouty Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Interesting. I shall post pics upon my arrival back to the states. Quote
Starwars4J Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Well I realized that I hadn't taken any fun pics in awhile, so I took my trusty D80 out on my balcony with me to take pictures on several different settings. First is everything normal (ISO 100, Aperture 36, shutter 30") Second up is ISO H1.0 shutter 30" Aperture 36 Third is ISO H1.0 shutter 30" Aperture 5.3 Last is ISO 100 shutter 30" Aperture 5.6 All taken at around 3:45 AM Quote
Sir Dillon Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 That last one is the best. It looks really cool. Quote
Izzy Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 (edited) Until I can get my own photos up... I've decided to show you all "the one picture that I wish I had taken". Its from a french photographer Eugene Atget (from the 20's) the picture is called Avenue des Gobelins (1927) and also this one... Edited July 13, 2007 by cutlass_iz Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 SW4J, you have an awesome view from your place. I'm so jealous *wub* Quote
Doctor Sinister Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Here's a picture I took in 2004 of the one and only fully-operational Tiger I tank at the Bovington Tank Museum. Dr. S. Oh! Sorry - forgot this one...one of my favourites, I like to take pictures of the Moon... Dr. S. Quote

ApophisV Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 I've not really any idea about photographing techniques (which will change the next months when my studies of communication- and multimediadesign start! *sweet* ), but I made this spooky/dreamy picture: I was playing with flashlight and snow in the dark... pietje Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 (edited) I don't know how I can make pictures on thi site, he say:''You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. oo7 Posted July 5, 2007 Author Posted July 5, 2007 I like some of those sunset pictures, 007. Cool! The last one of yours is definitely superior, it has a lot of feeling. May I inquire towards the location where the photograph was taken? That last one is the best. It looks really cool. Yeah, your final image is the best of the bunch also. It's a fair trade-off; where you have lights you have no stars, where you have stars, you have no lights..... (form the 20's) What a surprise! :-P Here's a picture I took in 2004 of the one and only fully-operational Tiger I tank at the Bovington Tank Museum. Nice shot! That angle really makes the picture, however it would be nice to see the rest of the tank cut off in this picture. Oh! Sorry - forgot this one...one of my favourites, I like to take pictures of the Moon... What a loony hobby! X-D ;-) I was playing with flashlight and snow in the dark... Flashlight? As in light from the camera's flash function? And snow? That is the night sky, is it not? Whatever it is it certainly does look dreamy...... The board doesn't allow the Bitmap extension, .bmp. You should be able to simply rename them with a .jpg if you single click on the file name via "My Computer". Then you should be able to post them directly. That Lizard and the clouds are great. What pray tell, has happen here? http://www.maj.com/gallery/pietje/suriname...kopondomeer.bmp Maybe if I spoke Dutch I could figure it out using the word 'brokopondomeer'. 8-| Quote

Very cool, like you photographed the sky at night. Or did you actually do that? :-P Quote
ApophisV Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Flashlight? As in light from the camera's flash function? And snow? That is the night sky, is it not? Whatever it is it certainly does look dreamy...... Isn't it called flashlight? You know, that bright thing that comes out of the camera when it's too dark! :-P And it WAS snow I photographed! I'll attach some more pics from that shooting, they show the actual snow flakes somewhat clearer! ;-) Quote
oo7 Posted July 5, 2007 Author Posted July 5, 2007 Ah! I get it now, that's the night sky while snow is falling! I thought those were stars. ;-) and usually it would be two words; flash light. A flashlight is something entirely different. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Cool! The last one of yours is definitely superior, it has a lot of feeling. May I inquire towards the location where the photograph was taken? Thank you. It taken while standing of a pier on the Ohio River. Apo, the first picture you posted is very cool. I like that you can see the trees in it. Quote

oo7 Posted July 7, 2007 Author Posted July 7, 2007 Today, in the month of July, it started hailing. It lasted for about a minute an a half, but it did so very, very heavily. One Two Three The kiddies immediately went outside to play with it Thank you. It taken while standing of a pier on the Ohio River. Ah, on a transatlantic voyage to Louisville, I presume? Quote

Brainbox Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Today, in the month of July, it started hailing. It lasted for about a minute an a half, but it did so very, very heavily. It's not really hailed here yet, but for weeks the UK has been rained on endlessly. We weren't flooded, thank God, but lot's of parts of the country have been, as I'm sure you've heard. And it's supposed to be Summer. Then suddenly this afternoon, the sun came out! I came out of the pictures, and was nearly blinded... Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Yes, old topic, I know, but I've been gone for 4 weeks and took some lovely pictures (in my opinion, anyway). Enjoy :-) View of the Grand Canyon Sunset at the Grand Canyon. View of Bryce Canyon Sunset at Bryce Canyon. I love sunset pictures, and this one has great colors. Telegraph poles at the ghost town of Bodie A river in Yosemite National Park. More Yosemite National Park. My favorite picture along with the sunset at Bryce. El Capitan, the largest chunk of granite in the world. Also in Yosemite National Park. The Japanese tea garden in San Francisco. Jellyfish at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. More jellyfish. Ugly creatures but they make great pictures. Pacific ocean. Ocean + sunlight = awesome pictures. A tree at the J. Paul Getty Centre in Los Angeles. I like the sunlight and the combination of the tree's pink and the building's white. Quote
casewindu Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I have just came back from my great holiday in america and its funny because I seem to have visited the same places as Kikuichimonji! :-D I also got a lot of photos, although it would be hard to beat your amazing ones and I will upload them as soom as possible. ;-) Quote
JoeMI6 Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Here are a few pictures of mine from various adventures and stuff. A landscape shot from Mammoth Mountain, California. A shot of a hill that I sometimes cycle up (or at least, I did until my bike got stolen :'-( ) Picture of me sitting atop some ruins near where I live. Fragments of sunlight creeping through a tree. A bumblebee hopping about a lavender bush. And to finish, some marching, Imperial Style *vader* If you want to check out pretty much all my photos, here's the link to my flickr. Quote
Corvus Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Here are some of mine: This is the Stellar Sea Eagle we saw in Alaska. It isn't as much of the photo than it is the subject: This is a picture of Maggie, the tame Timber Wolf at Mission: Wolf at the High Desert Museum. This is a picture of our previous house after snowfall. G I loved that house! The vineyard was so *wub* This is a picture of a train going up a slope, with Jungfraujoch (I think) in the background. A ruin in Germany Another mountain picture A picture at the Painted Hills in Oregon And last but not least, a picture of beer!! Since it's called "Inversion Pale Ale", my dad thought it'd be clever to take this picture. Quote
