Barduck Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 UP 44 Seat Coach by Barduck12, on Flickr Seats based on a design by Garethjellis (http://www.eurobrick...72#entry2005069) This is the first one finished, second one is well on it's way, only like 20 bricks missing. When finished I'll allready have 6 coaches finished to put behind my Big Boy Quote
Rail Co Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Wow! Love the high detail with this carriage! I like how you were able to even re-create the undercarriage detail! Also the seats are an added plus! Can't wait to see more! -Rail Co Quote

Barduck Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 Hey anotehr great train Barduk I like your version and I hope to post my UP work in a few months! setting her up like this has made me start designing the other 5 coaches missing for this coachyard, so more to follow in a few weeks/months Quote
harnbak Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 setting her up like this has made me start designing the other 5 coaches missing for this coachyard, so more to follow in a few weeks/months beautiful work here! I love the concept and design of a train as a whole! with regards to engine power. I imagine that when using so many small bricks the cars get quite heavy. how much engine power do you need to pull these 6 cars as depicted? do you have an additional motor in one of the cars? or is it a model mainly for display? Quote
Barduck Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 the Big Boy has 4XL motors in her boiler (coming from 4 medium ones), haven't been able to test her to see how many coaches she could pull as we did not have a train layout this year at the event. The coaches are indeed quite heavy but I think she should still be able to pull all 6 if we use the smooth curves instead of LEGO standard curves. I will be adding extra PF train motors to one or maybe 2 of the next coaches I do to give it more power and I can always put my SD-60 at the end to help pull. Once my DDA0X is done she can also be used to pull the whole lot instead of the Big Boy. Quote

legoman666 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 4xls will be overkill. My 2x L locomotives can pull 16' of heavy 7 wide rolling stock. Quote
zephyr1934 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Oh wow! The train looks beautiful all together. Quote
