tedbeard Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) After finally trying out my water-slide decal kit (see also: Green Dragon) I thought I would share my franchise burger place: As usual, apologies for crappy pictures. Edited October 21, 2014 by tedbeard Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Neat looking modular fusion classic town burger joint........Brick On 'tedbeard' ! Quote
eurotrash Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Nice use of the sail for logo? Yep, I agree. And the decals look very impressive. Quote
tedbeard Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 Thanks all! Nice use of the sail for logo? It seemed a natural when I was looking for an existing printed element to use and realized I had several of the sail boat torsos: Quote
KeepLeft Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Reminds me of a 60's type fast food joint, love the colours. Quote
The Undo Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I'd love to have some burgers there. Nice work! Quote
tedbeard Posted October 23, 2014 Author Posted October 23, 2014 Reminds me of a 60's type fast food joint, love the colours. Thanks, I was going for that old-school vibe. I'd love to have some burgers there. Nice work! When I first conceived this MOC I had only recently experienced the pure joy that is In-N-Out Burger on a family trip to California. And now I am hungry just thiking about it. Thanks. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Oh I like this shop and eat burgers near the sea is a sweet dream! Quote
dr_spock Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Nice. Feels like one of those Beach Combers hangouts. Quote
tedbeard Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the nice comments. I want to make a second location that has a drive-thru some day. Edited October 24, 2014 by tedbeard Quote
Bricknblue Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 That's really nice! Looks like it could be a mid 90s set, almost! I like it! Quote
tedbeard Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 ^ Thanks! I did use a lot of 90's torsos and printed elements didn't I? :) Quote
3BrickFriends Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Great MOC. I've done a little bit of waterslide decals. Your's look very sharp. Quote
brickbuilder711 Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Nice MOC! I like the detail. Very fitting for a beach scene! Quote
Only Sinner Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 The colors work very well here, and I really like the counter and the kitchen details. Quote
tedbeard Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 Thanks, I was really pleased with the decals. I have done desktop publishing for a long time but for some reason the decals made me nervous. The kitchen turned out really well and one detail you really cannot see from my crappy photos is that there is a "walk-in" fridge near the back door filled with product. That and the toilet are pretty hard to get good photos of. Quote
