iNsAnE_Asterix Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Hi, in the past it worked without a problem but since the last couple of LDD which I downloaded, I can't or hardly set the building to building guide mode. Small Items open in about an hour, let's say 50 to 200 pieces. But the larger Buildings, it keep say loading. The old LDD's have now the same problem. It takes hours to open even a small one for a city car for example. It start smooth, but then it stops generating. Maybe I changed a setting or something? I did a re-installation but the problem did not go away. I hope some one can help me with this. version 4.3.8 Regards Asterix Quote
Zerobricks Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Can you share the file and I will try the guide. Quote
talos Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Good grief, I have been trying to use the building guide mode, and it takes forever to open too. I am using the Mac v. 4.3.8. When it does finally open, it is not right. As you step thorough the design, its building it in a crazy order. Its putting bricks in place that are missing lower bricks that must be placed beforehand. Its just about useless like this. It used to work fine, but since this last update, its wacko. Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Building guide can be quite buggy, especially If there are any unconnected floating parts... Quote
Superkalle Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 And to add to that, another common reason for "unconnected parts" is SNOT-building (incl. rims/tyres). As long as you build simple "stacked" models, it should work very good. Quote
talos Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I have a lot of tile snot on the modular building project that isn't building correctly, and that shows up right away. I noticed too that it is adding tile before the plate they are all attached to is added. So for me, even the regular stacked brick and tiles are not placed correctly. I wonder if the problem is worse on the Mac version, which is what I am using. Quote
Calabar Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Take a look at the section index, there you can find some threads about building instructions in LDD. In one of them, is described how to generate buiding instruction based on groups (in detail, it is explained that inside the lxf file you can insert some code that guide the BI generator of LDD, and it is possible to generate this code starting from the groups code), and Hronts provide an example file. It is not so trivial, but it works. Quote
