I finished the unpublished 42051 - Airport Rescue Vehicle replica. It was not difficult for construction. I made it in 2 days. A very nice and well played out kit.

Why do you think it got canceled when you look at the model?

I'm not too sure if it's cancelled. It could also be delayed.

A Dutch webshop brickshop.nl says it's delayed until January 2017.

Of course I don't know if that's for sure, but that particular webshop very often has future sets correctly listed early on.

I am wondering how you, dokludi, make those replica with only images and videos.

About 42051, it looks like a great source of 5x11 Red Panels to build the Lucio's Airport Crash Tender

I am always impressed by Your reverse engineering skills, just fantastic!

Here You used a lot of your imagination, in my opinion You even overengineered it, this probably contains more features, as the planned 42051 - just my feeling.

p.s.: I am not a fan of the music, but it has nice bittersweet hint knowing the history, great!

Very nice replica of the set.

Regarding this set being cancelled, it did actually show up in Nuremberg in late January!

In this

, if you watch carefully, you'll see it on the screen behind the Lego employee:

It might eventually show up later than expected.

Nicely done ... from just one picture???. This somehow reminds me of 8454, which looked very 'futuristic' when it came out.

I finally finished the construction manual. It was not a perfect guide, are included fixes (updates) but I think it can be built to 42051 (replica). Of course, free of charge and can be downloaded here:

This is some feat of reverse building. I'm still at a loss to know why TLG ditched this.

Thank you for the instructions and for making them freely available.
