    LEGO Seasonal 2016

Well done, Lego. It would have been nice to see these in more than tiny quantities. Maybe even in-store.

    LEGO Seasonal 2016

Wow I just saw the secondary prices of the Bumblebee figure and they disgust me. Nothing would make my day more than a reprint CMF set that included her just to ruin the day of the hoarders.

    LEGO Seasonal 2016

I had no idea these old figures were 10x the retail price on the secondary market. As someone who snagged 3 or 4 of these (retail price) at various stores when these were still new, and with multiples of other "rare" figures like the bunny guy (some still sealed), I say bring it on! Reprint them all! I'd support a 2017 CMF special reprint set of 16 costumed figures from previous sets (followed by regular releases or rotations). I don't even care that I paid $15 for a Lizard guy two years after he went OOP. The costume figures are awesome and nothing would please me more to see them available again even if I already have some of them. It'd be another excuse to get more!

eBay user sells instructions for other builder's MOCs

Maybe it's just me but the only thing that I feel is wrong here is the use of those images without permission. He should have made his own images. Otherwise I just can't summon the moral outrage over what is just a reverse engineered how-to guide. However I am biased and believe modern IP law is getting far too over-reaching in many ways but that's another discussion... Assuming that it is truly reverse engineered. If it's direct copy that is yet another matter.

    Registration Difficulties

I had that problem. I waited two days for the registration email to arrive but nothing came. I came here to login and I noticed the option to re-send the validation email, clicked that and the email appeared instantly in the inbox. Very strange.

    LOTR & The Hobbit 2012

They charge more because they can. The lack of distributor/retailer competition means every one gets lazy. It's the same reason why in Canada, prices automatically go up/down 30% once you cross the border. Some people would even go as far as to suggest that corporations charge people outside the USA higher prices to make up for smaller margins in the larger ultra competitive American market but that's just a conspiracy theory and there's no proof!

The Lego Black Knights Sets 1988-1993

This thread came up in a Google search for more info about this set so I had to chime in. The black knight was the only minifig in our collection to ever go missing. I spent many fruitless years looking for that thing!

The Lego Black Knights Sets 1988-1993

Speaking of 6034, many years ago my parents bought this set for us at random and the knight with the armor was the coolest minifigure that we had at the time. The only thing from the set which has gone missing! It has eluded me for a long time!

    Collectable Minifigures: Feeling the Packets

Obviously the lesson here for those disappointed kids is to suck it up. Better they learn the harsh lessons of life when they're 8 than later. There's ruthless people out there. Eat or be eaten. It's the law of the free market. It's not my fault you couldn't drive to Walmart before I could. This is a game, I'm the winner, you're the loser. Learn to use Bricklink you noobs. Blame TLG. I just completed CMF series 6 the other day, the first Lego products that I have purchased in a long long time. It took some doing to find the sleepy guy and robot as those seem to be the looter's choice. It took a few store hops and re-stocks over a month to find them but I did. I saw many opened CMF6 and CMF7 packets... I know we're talking about toys here, but the reason we have laws is because some people are just inconsiderate jerks and don't care how their behaviour affects others. All it takes is one person to ruin it for everyone else. "Collecting" over 100 of the same figure just seems so extreme and out of bounds. Assuming two boxes per store that would clear every single Walmart within 50 miles of me, leaving none for anyone else. (I am not suggesting we write laws to regulate this behaviour so don't even go there!) Now it didn't bother me that others got there before I did but what ever happened to the Golden Rule?
