What would folks say is the best "Lobster Lover" or dressing gown batman? I got the Xinh version (I'm mostly sure) but the legs and head is a little off. Is there a better version out there?

It's certainly not bad, but I do have a line or two where it's not properly printed so seems faded. And the dual-molded look on the legs really shows because the backs of them aren't printed.

I got the full Dargo set and it definitely has a few quirks here and there. Not going to go into specifics or advertise the TLG designed figures, but the New 52 Superman and new Spider-man (I think) variant seem relatively solid. The printing is a little imprecise all around, but nothing I can't live with and nothing worse than you'd ordinarily expect from Dargo.

Quality varies from figure to figure, and even the best brands have shitty waves from time to time. At best they are pretty much indistinguishable from official at times. And if you're looking for something specific, feel free to ask. Note about this thread though is that the moderators of this forum don't want us talking about official designs which have been copied, so you likely won't get much help here if you want one of those. However there are places (like https://www.reddit.com/r/bootlego/) where there aren't such restrictions, so you'd probably have better luck there.

Unlikely we'll see the SY one seeing as they never do single sale, but odds aren't terrible that we'll see a dargo single sale. Or at the very least we'll almost certainly see either Xinh or Pogo do one when they're not finished doing other TLG designs we're not allowed to talk about in this thread.

Perhaps, but that looks like the "hairpiece" for ghost rider is removable in this version (or at least different from the official one) rather than completely stuck to the head. Hold up, bigfig colossus has been on single sale? I must have not been paying attention.

Rule clarification for this new thread: Would we be able to post promotional images of full minifigure sets which contain some TLG and non-TLG designs so long as it's in the context of promoting the non-TLG designs in the set?

Actually if you just hit the "go to global site" button at the top right it removes your region stuff. That is a pain though.

There's a new Dargo set floating around, and has a character and a superman variant I don't think we've seen before (Image Link) so if anyone is able to identify those it'd be great. Also, the set does contain some TLG designs. Not going to say which ones (and the image link doesn't include them) on account of the new rules here but according to Peppermint_M's post here we're still allowed to talk about and even link to such sets so long as it's not to promote TLG designs.

That set looks a real mess barring moleman and potentially black panther. Is it possible to get a decent comic black panther mask anywhere I could add to it?

And similarly if we link people to sets which contain some TLG designs in the context of getting the non-TLG designs in it, would that be ok? Like if a set contained Reverse Flash, Zoom, Arkham Knight and some other non-TLG designs but also a copy of Lightning Lad, would we be able to link them to the set if it's so that they can get the non-TLG designs?

And what about large single sale pages? A lot of the better stores tend to have one page with every figure they do on single sale. Naturally this page is selling TLG designs as well as non-TLG ones, and is often the most reliable source of individual figures. Would we be able to link to one of those?

Yeah, I tend to be of the philosophy that if Lego had intended proper availability, they wouldn't create the shortages we have. Consider - if I wanted to buy an official Deadpool figure, I'd need to get it off a collector or reseller for a ridiculously high price, and none of the money I pay would go back to TLG, so I don't really see how buying figures they aren't selling themselves is of too much harm to them. Either way, as I've said before in this thread and people ought to be getting sick of me saying, I'm really no fan of needing to tiptoe around restrictions on what I can say, whether they were put there with the best intentions or not. I'll stay where the conversation is, but if that moves elsewhere I'd happily go with it.

Personally I'd rather use the reddit sub for the anonymity if nothing else. I think it's just a case of figuring out what would work and then seeing if we want to move away from here. I'm no fan of dancing around restrictions (particularly vaguely-defined ones) but I'll stay around wherever the conversation is.

As a note, it may be worth finding a place where we can talk about them freely in case the mods have a change of heart or we find the current restrictions too restrictive. If noone else has any ideas there's always the /r/bootlego subreddit. It's a little inactive right now, but it'll do.
