Prologue Kintobor gingerly carried his luggage out to the trunk of his car, watching his step as he made his way out of his house. His trip to the Far Far Away BrickCon had been a long time coming, and he was visibly excited for the road trip accompanying his time at one of the world's largest Lego conventions. "No, wait, stop! You can't just leave me alone for who knows how long?" Karie rushed out of the house, following closely behind Kintobor. She was dressed in clothing more appropriate for a comic book convention than a normal Friday afternoon. "Look, can't you take a plane or something? Take me along with you or something?" Kintobor turned around, trying to be as cordial as he could with his new housemate. "Look, Karie," Kinto explained, "I've had this trip planned for months, and you've known about me leaving to go to this convention for months. I know things haven't been great for you since Heroica ended, but I need time to focus on things other than planning more mafia games and occasionally finding myself playing in one. You need to find yourself a hobby, Karie, that doesn't involve you streaming yourself playing video games or being the deliverer of death in my mafia games. Perhaps if you need some help looking for one I can help you out during my trip." "Yeah... whatever. Have fun on your trip, Kinto. Leaving me all alone in a house. By myself." Karie complained. "You'll be fine. You have my cellphone number. If something comes up, give me a call. Feel free to invite people over, just..." Kinto paused himself, trying to find the words. "Don't make any big messes, okay?" Kintobor got into his car after finishing loading his luggage. Waving goodbye to Karie, his vehicle sputtered down the road, leaving a trail of dust behind him. Karie was left watching her housemate drive away, left with her own thoughts. She was left with no real human interaction for who knows how long, in a rather cramped house. She could go back to playing video games on Twitch for cash, she thought. It was then, with the speed of a strike of lightning, that an idea entered Karie's brain. "No big messes? Hmm... Maybe I can do something fun while Kinto's away..." --- Welcome to Karie's Cosplay Mafia: The House Party! If you don't know who Karie is, don't worry. All you need to know is she's bored, and has free reign of a house for an undetermined amount of time. Sign ups will close next Friday, or until we get fifteen people. If we have more than fifteen I can accommodate. Here are your three questions you need to answer to be signed up: 1. Have you ever played Mafia before? If you answered yes, when was the last time you played on Eurobricks? 2. Do you have time to commit to a game of mafia? The game is expected to last roughly one month. 3. "Why should I invite you to my cosplay house party?" -Karie --- Rules: (Thanks Def. I'm stealing your rules.) 1. Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Town or the Scum. To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Scum, while the Scum needs to outnumber the Town. Third-party (neutral) characters have their own win conditions as outlined in their roles. 2. Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player. Voting is mandatory. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. A majority vote is required to lynch a player. Failure to vote will incur a vote penalty the following game day. 3. A game day will last a maximum of 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The day will end when a majority vote has been reached after 72 hours. After the day has been concluded, a night stage will commence, which will last 48 hours. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 20 hours of the night stage. 3.5. Players may not target the same player two nights in a row, and may not target themselves. 4. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day. 5. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to or from you in PM with the game host, or in PM with any other players. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage. 6. Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. 7. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on. 8. You may not edit your posts. 9. You must post in every day thread. 10. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM 11. Violation of any of the above rules will result in a 5 vote penalty for the first offence, and death on your second offence. 12. There are no hints or clues in the day/night images.

Harriet Slutter and the Philosopher’s Balls Harriet Slutter is off for her first year at PigBlister’s School of Sorcery and Magicky-doings. But, the PigBlister Express has left her in Cockturn Alley and Lord Moldyshorts and his gang of Odor Eaters has other plans for her. Can he stop her from getting to school and get his hands on the Philosopher’s Balls for his diabolical scheme to take over the World? Or will Harriet spoil his plans and make it to school on time? Only you can answer that by signing up for Harriet Slutter Mafia - Book One: Harriet Slutter and the Philosopher’s Balls. Join an advanced game with a basic setup, yet with a unique concept for how the game itself will be approached. Tired of hero worship and meta-gaming? Take part in a concept that attempts to circumvent this pesky Mafia byproduct. In the magic world of Cockturn Alley, you can expect to find a couple of twists, but nothing that a Mafia School graduate can’t handle. Vets and Mafia School graduates are encouraged to sign up. (Current Aperture students can apply, but final decision will be left to the Aperture hosts) No cults, no fake conversions, no resurrections, no vengeful spirits ...there may be a neutral or two. You might see some Hinckely favorites like lovers or the inventor. There may be some never before seen roles as well. Who knows? Structure-wise, Town Night Actions will not be passed on, but the Scum will be able to choose which Action they would like to keep when they lose a member. If the game is brought down to one remaining Scum player, that player will be given a kill and a block Action to be able to use both nightly. I am considering not allowing players to post PMs from other players. I'd like to hear people's thoughts on that. Also, for the first time, I'm engaging in the fhomess rule: all pictures will be hosted on EB so you won't be blocked at work. So, if you'd like to play, please respond to this post with the following information: Your past Mafia experience Your ability to focus on the game over the next 32 days Will you be able to keep up with 20 hour NA deadlines? Your favorite Mafia moment Tell me why you think Vanilla Townies are important or how they are most useful (6 steps in a Mafia application?) Give me your word that you'll participate in whatever crazy concoction I've doctored to avoid the meta-gaming. It will take everyone's cooperation and to operate on their honor. Thanks for checking this out and I hope we have a great game. Currently, I have 26 slots and I can make it more or less depending on how many people sign up. There are two other games currently in progress, but my plan is to leave this signup thread up for about a week. I need to finish the game before Brickworld in June, so we have to start now.
