I have been picking these up as I have bought DS and DSI cases for my kids and I really thought they were pretty neat. Just thought I would share. Anyone else do anything with these? Please let me know if you cannot see the picture. Thanks

Anyone tried running PF motor on 9v track my making a contact. I have plugged a pf motor into a 9v motor as a way of adding a second motor to a 9v setup and that has worked fine.

First Superman character on eBay? Is this too much for this figure, or a good deal? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-nycc-comic-con-lego-superman-sdcc-dc-exclusive-very-limited-and-HTF-/290620393185?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43aa5346e1 What do you think? Are they limited to 200 as we heard earlier?

The shelving is lots of part number 30528 for the back and 4 x6, 4x2 and 4x8 for the shelves. I was previously using the 30528 for displaying the minifigs, but the were getting dusty every few months.

My latest display case. Hello, this is my latest iteration of a covered display case for my star wars figures. I am so tired of dusting them and my kids friends grabbing them. I picked up these cases at IKEA for about $20 and I think that I can get all of the star wars figures in four of them. I currently have two full and I am working on the third right now. It takes a while to get them all set up. What do you think and do you have any better ideas? The case hold exactly a 4 wide Lego structure inside. I have to remove the white background that came iwht them and put in a piece of black construction paper. They are approximately 24 x 24 inches. Thanks and here is a link to a better picture. http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream

I had the same problem. I just placed the order and I will check later to see if they have it corrected.

super glue is painfully permanent in seconds. You will regret it, but it wirks very well.

For cleaning bricks, I have been using the germ-x hand soap with a toothbrush. It takes off just about anything. Once I clean them, I wash them with some dish soap to make sure that the germ-x does not have a long lasting effect on the bricks. I found that toothpaste scratches the bricks a little sometimes.

Over 200 Lego Star Wars Sets plus lots of Minifigs

Hello, I am in Illinois as well. Would you be willing to email or call me? Where are you located? I could be interested in taking some of these off of your hands. My email is sstoroe@yahoo.com -
If you watch ebay for the older versions that can be had for under $100 if you do not want the figures.

At least we know who bought them all now! :)

Do you buy 1 set to play with and 1 to keep sealed?
Shawn replied to thegurumb's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I buy one of each of the sets that I like to build. But for the star wars sets, it is more about the box art than the set in many cases. I really like the box art. So I buy one to build and take out the minifigures and I buy one to stor in pristine condition that I do not open. Someday my kids are going to have a mess trying to get rid of all of these. :) -
I have every set other than the Yoda UCS and Darth Maul UCS. Two sets catch everyones attention that see my collection. The 7181 UCS Tie and The Death Star 10188. In all fairness, I do not have the UCS MF displayed since I am afraid to open it. I just cannot see opening a set that is going to be larger than a coffee table. Possibly someday. After those two, I love 10019 and 10129 as well, but I would just buy 10198 instead of 10019. It is a very good set and just a little smaller without looking smaller when they are not side by side. last but not least, I really like the minifigures as well. I am on a never ending quest to figure out how to display them and keep dust off of them at the same time.

Robert Jordan Wheel of Time Series. This is the best Series that I have ever read. It is long though. Currently at 14 books. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wheel_of_Time

Exactly! This is the first set that I have passed up.

Displaying technic lego
Shawn replied to davidmull's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have been looking at these for putting my sets on. IKEA has quite a few sizes and they are quite sturdy. The 2x2 shelf can be mounted on the wall if you can hit studs. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40047675 Thanks shawn -

Wow, that went quick. I ordered two about 3 hours ago and I just went back to order two more. Too bad. Does anyone know what the real US price will be? Is 119 with a toys r us markup, or is that retail? -
I put this together with my 5 year old this weekend. Since Amazon has these on sale for $52 each shipped to my door, I decided to give my idea a try. Hope that you like it. If any of you have tried this already, please let me know where I can find pics. The only pieces that I added are the pieces for the tender, train bases for the two cars and caboose and a few misc pieces to fix up the wheels and make them work on track. This is my first MOC posting, so I hope you like it. Here is a link to my flick photos. The engine is stock and I have not changed it. I am trying to figure out what to do before I tackle that one. Thanks Shawn
