You should be very open about it. I never really was until a few years ago. Everybody knows about it and even when i talked about it at work i pulled a co worker out of his dark ages... So be open and save the ones that don't dare to come out for what they really like!

luckily im not a star wars fan but for the rest i try to buy every AFOL set that comes out ASAP.

I never had real dark ages. I did buy less lego during my teenage years. 14-17 But when cafe corner came out i was addicted again right away. If you read trough this thread everyone has some darker period. Mostly its around 13-18. Pretty logical as we all get interested in other things like: school, sports, work, and the other sexes (or the same if you prefer) until we settle ourselves. Start living together or marry seems to be a breakpoint for a lot of people to start with the lego again. quite interesting...

Lego should hire JJGeers... That way Lego can release magnificent modular buildings twice as fast... On the other hand that means that money will fly out of my wallet twice as fast... Nah, i think the tempo is right as it is.. Else its getting way to expensive since i cant resist any of those modular buildings..

you can allways sleep on the couch and turn your bedroom into a lego room! A second job... Difficult choice... 2nd job means more money but less time to build lego... I would rather take an extra loan then not being able to buy lego... Anyways Welcome here!! Im a newbie myself here and i allready like it very much!

Thank you all for a warm welcome!! Just realise that i aint 26 at all... im still 25 for a few days. Brickset is pretty easy, just register and browse every year and click on the "I own" button when you see a set you have. I try to build my city as real as possible. It is still lego and i use new and old sets all together. But everything is an original set. I Work with Cofely (previously GTI) and you?

Hello everybody, Im wandering around this site for about half a year now. Checking the frontpage and the forums as a guest. Since i have a nice lego Collection and i am planning to be more active in building MOC's i thought i just register. So here follows a quick introduction of who ChefAgf is. My real name is Michel i am 26 years old and live in the Netherlands. I am married and have a beautiful son nine months old. I work as a workpreparator in the piping industry. I had a few dark ages although i better call them grey. Still bought lego but didnt do anything with it. Untill the statue of liberty arrived. That was the turning point. I fell in love with it and i am back collecting Lego. I dont collect it to collect but to build. I like to make displays with original sets. And now i have a city in an appartement that is currently for sale. When it is sold i lose my big space for the layout so i plan to go create some MOCs at home.
