When I opened Barad-dur, I noticed something odd. The packet that contains the instruction manuals and stickers has two sealing tapes on each side: The bottom tapes were cut open, and the top tapes were intact (until I opened them). The instructions and stickers are there, and the packet was sealed in the inner box, so it wasn't tampered with after it left LEGO. Has anyone seen this before?

It looks like the Fell Beast is now sold out online in the US, at least the Eastern time zone. It no longer shows in the GWP window on the Barad-dur page, and the Fell Beast page says "Not currently available". It was still available about an hour ago.

I ordered in the USA Eastern time zone at about 12:20 am. The website was fast and responsive, it only took me a few minutes to order and pay, and I had my email confirmation within 5 minutes. When I looked again at about 5:30 am, it was still fast, and the Fell Beast was still available. Now to call the contractor to have the new LEGO Room addition built…

LEGO’s website says: Dimensions – The fortress in this 5,471-piece building set measures over 32.5 in. (83 cm) high, 17.5 in. (45 cm) wide and 12 in. (30 cm) deep

In all my LEGO purchases, I've never encountered a paper-based bag, even though every instruction manual touts them. Apparently they haven't made it across the pond yet.

I'll be in Lake Buena Vista FL the week before June 1st, so I'll be able to go to the Disney Springs LEGO Store if it has an early VIP release. Fingers crossed! Last time I was there at Christmas, I bought Rivendell. My family knows I'm an AFOL, so between my VIP points and LEGO gift cards, I didn't need any real money 👍

10341 Artemis I Rocket & Launchpad Discussion
petero replied to Vilhelm22's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The info plaque (shown much sharper on LEGO's site) says Time to orbit: 3 minutes, 40 seconds. It actually took Artemis 1, 8 minutes and 4 seconds from launch to core stage cutoff. -
Thanks, @Peppermint_M . That would explain why I couldn't find it. I don't imagine any of the LEGO clones have online parts catalogs or discussion groups, so I'll just have to be content knowing it's not LEGO. I've never even heard of Best Lock before . Time to do some more Googling. Peter

I'm hoping some of you LEGO Gurus can help me identify this ancient Egyptian Nemes headcloth. I found the photo in an eBay listing. The seller isn't a LEGO fan, so they couldn't help me. After searching Bricklink and Brickset for hours I've been unable to find it. It looks like a real LEGO part to me, but perhaps it's not. I'd love to find it, since it looks much better than the regular Nemes piece. Thanks for all your help!

Thanks TKP. Apparently LEGO's packing bots have trouble distinguishing between the two. It'll be interesting to see what I end up with!

I've just finished the first section, and have found one parts mistake. In Step 294, there should be two short strings for the stays on the forward funnel. My set has one short string and one long string. I'm hoping there will be an extra short string later on in the build -- maybe a short where there should be a long. Fortunately it will be an easy fix, since I just need to pop the top of the funnel off to fit the string later. If I do end up submitting a missing part request, the short string is currently OOS on Pick-A-Brick, so I hope they have some set aside for missing parts. Peter

Ah, I see what the problem was. Mediafile's page considers the .io file to be a compressed archive. When I saved it with Windows 10/Firefox, the .io file extension was replaced with .zip. All I had to do was change the extension back to .io, and it opened. I've been waiting for the wing fold to start the Osprey, so hopefully I'll be able to figure out your design. When I was playing with LEGO in my formative years, all they had was bricks, so this Technic stuff baffles me a bit . Do you have a list of the extra parts needed for the wing fold? Or is everything shown in the Studio file needed? Peter
