Thanks all for your comments! Never thought would've done these even after the four Chima birds but the opportunity presented itself when I found out the jungle theme for the event at my workplace. Just one more week to go and all the prep work for the MOCs I'm bringing is underway. AC

Group shot together with the molded ones to compare their scale. Been working on the jungle theme MOC for the Family Day event next week at my workplace. Since there's not that many wild jungle animals, I've essentially built these to make/populate the 6 x 3 regular baseplate footprint. AC

Got to admit that the landscape was built first for a different MOC and this was just taking advantage of using the same base/footprint in another theme. Plain and simple is just what this scene is all about. Sometimes you just got to hold back on too much detailing and just let the MOC convey the simple nature of it. AC

Up to this day, there are certain areas in Japan where people live in fishing villages like in the past. AC

Thanks and that's the design intent of these utility parts to easily integrate as accessories with other sets/MOCs. That Gonk was based from one of the scenes in the Hoth rebel base. AC

Thanks all and actually planned to post these only at the contest forum but these pics and others that had the hangar backdrop were disallowed. So did a reshoot with just the BP and posted these separately so that the crew can be seen in action. AC

Yes, the BP reference is for the contest entry shown in the second pic. As you can see in the third pic with the X-Wing in a deserted hangar bay. First and last pics essentially combines and displays the playability of the BP entry. AC

An X-Wing comes for routine maintenance checks or how the BP can be used in a MOC.

Tried to keep the same design aesthetics of the old set with a new twist on it's features and the towers were ready for a makeover. MOCers often dismiss the use of these parts but they can still work with new designs when appropriate. AC
