  1. Agree! The best two modulars are the first two! Ironically, IMO the order of the best modular to the worst(exclude MS) is: GG>CC>FB>GE>PS>TH>PC, which is exactly the same as the order(except GG/CC) of their release dates.
  2. This is true...so why not selling the cc and use the money to buy the 10196? You can make a profit...plus it's much safer than trading...
  3. How about the apartment building?
  4. It would be nice if someone can put this ship next to the 2007 ship for a comparison.
  5. It would be great if you can compare it with the #10210 Imperial Flagship.
  6. Nice work! From the photos you uploaded it looks like the exhibition is in Taikoo Shing? Anyways, it would be nice to see this next to the Taj Mahal. Also, how many pieces did you use?
  7. It looks "small" compare to the ISD. But I agree it will be more expensive than the ISD.
  8. One thing I like about baseplates is that they are easier for me to move my buildings around.
  9. It would be nice if there is a comparison with the London Bus in #10214 Tower Bridge.
  10. Diagon Alley is definitely an excellent parts pack for modular! In fact, I just bought 2 to turn those 3 buildings into modular style houses.
  11. My street used to have 21 modular buildings at its longest, which spanned over 12 feet long. Link
  12. Oh yes I think that's the police boat but why is it there? Also, the police boat also appeared on the fishing boat box...
  13. Anyone noticed there's a pic of a bigger boat at the bottom left corner of the marina box, which is not shown in the set?
  14. I cannot say it means something, but there's a trend in all the modular sets. CC: vegetables falling out of the trash bin. GG: fire hydrant. FB: shopping bag on the girl.
  15. You own 228 sets (194 different). We have piece counts for 187 of them. Using that data we have calculated that you own 136530 pieces! We have retail prices for 188 of them. Using that data we have calculated that their total retail value is US$12706.
  16. Sorry I know this is off-topic but I just bought this set from Lego.com last week and they sent it by Fedex. I was at home all day on the delivery date but nobody came and the tracking said it was delivered! What should I do!?
  17. That's exactly what I thought. Buying multiple creator houses sets is the best option in building moc modular houses. You will get tons of useful parts from them. They are also very cheap compare to city sets. I prefer using real bricks in the designing process than using the LDD. It can also cost you a lot of money if you purchase individual bricks from Lego.com or brick link. It's likely that you have to buy from many different sellers too.
  18. Same here. I completely fall in love with modular style buildings! I even modularise my creator houses. Perhaps you can try that too! :)
  19. One thing that is good about buying sets is that you don't have to spend alot of time in thinking and choosing what pieces you are going to buy. And I think it is challenging and exciting to build something out of an existing set. That's what I exactly did when I started to expand my street. I bought 2 sets of each creator houses and I got most of the pieces I needed. I agree that #6754 Family Home is the best one for moc too. It's relatively cheap with lots of useful pieces. I also bought 2 sets of eac modular houses so I have even more pieces to choose from. The only down side is that you cannot build cars from those creator houses sets. So you have to buy city/racer/creator car sets.
  20. I never buy a ton of pieces from bricklink or Lego becuase it can cost you alot of money. You will also need to buy from several sellers and the time of delivery can be slow. If I were you I will buy some city sets such as the city corner. It is cheaper and faster for you to get alot of pieces. I built all my mocs by using pieces from multiple sets I bought in the past.
  21. I was going to ask you to post some pictures of your modular town hall. Nice MOC again! I really like the interior. Actually the gas station can be "modularised" into a nice corner building. You can add a second floor or third floor for parking such as #6394 Metro Park & Service Tower.
  22. Same with me! Mine can turn counter-clockwise smoothly but it cannot turn clockwise! I really hope some experts can help!
  23. Just one question, does it float stably on water?
  24. Thanks for the quick respond! I agree with others that overhang is a little far off, but otherwise it is an excellent building! I have also made one but now looks like yours is better. Hope your street will even longer in the near future.
  25. I am really interested in your modular winter toy shop. Do you mind posting more photos of that please? Thanks.
