    Modular Buildings

It cost me 140.00GBP - 40% higher than Fire Station or Green Grocer. Not sure what the price will be in Euros

    Modular Buildings

From the Lego Shop in Milton Keynes last week - they sold a few before they were supposed to apparently.

    Modular Buildings

I agree - I like Market Street and I think Lego should do more smaller buildings - the big ones are great but can be a bit pricey and as you day, if you don't like the gap its easy to remove

    Modular Buildings

I don't mind if you use it on your desktop - I am probably going to take some more pictures this weekend in natural light as I don't like the way some of this pictures have turned out with the glare from the flash of my camera. Well spotted! I built GG the other way round a few weeks ago with this intention of buying a 2nd and putting them side by side - that will now have to wait since I spend £140 on GE! I cheated when building the 2nd escalator and took it from the other floor, but I just wanted to show how they look side by side
  6. I have just uploaded some pictures onto Flickr of all 5 modular buildings together All I need now is a bigger table to put them all on! Also, out of interest I have weighed each of the sets, Its fairly common knowledge how many pieces are in each set but thought it would be interesting to see how much each set weighed. Weights are of completed Lego sets only and do not include any packaging, boxes or instruction booklets. Market Street - 1347g Cafe Corner - 1859g Fire Station - 1956g Grand Emporium - 2101g Green Grocer - 2176g
  7. Its tan
  8. I've slightly modified the layout to show how you can have 2 escalators side by side on each floor
  9. The whole thing took me about 7 hours but that was with a couple of breaks to take some shots etc.
  10. Thanks for the great comments - The design of the building lends itself nicely to being modified. There is enough space to put in another esculator on each floor, or to put extra levels on if more than one set is purchased. There is also enough room to alter the floor layouts and to put in extra items for the mini-figs to buy!
  11. Thanks for the great comments - I may try in future to build something in time lapse brick by brick. I now have all 5 modular building sets so I have plenty to chose from!
  12. I heard 'on the grapevine' that the Lego shop in Milton Keynes was selling them early so I phoned up on Saturday and they reserved me one. My mate phoned them an hour later to get one himself and he was told he could not have one and they had been taken off the shelves as they were not supposed to be selling them until March!!
  13. It took me about 7 hours to build and that includes a couple of breaks and fiddling about with the camcorder.
  14. 1. The skylight is made up of 2 large windscreens (12 bricks wide) - I'm not sure if they are from Model Team or not but I do a close up of the windscreens on the video (at time 6:03) 2. Not sure what you mean but the items on display on the top floor are all toys. There is a scooter, 2 balls and a small house - (I think you probably mean the blue/black scooter but I may be wrong)
  15. I managed to get it from the Lego shop in Milton Kenyes - I think they have taken them off the shelves now as my mate tried to order one and was told there were none left!
  16. The music is Poppiholla by Chicane I cheated a little and used some small pieces of double sided tape!
  17. I managed to get one of the new Lego Grand Emproium sets over the weekend and have uploaded a video onto You Tube of me building it. Some of the film is in time lapse and this is my first attempt at something like this so I hope you like it.
  18. Woman in Grey - Can I help you madam? Wonam in red - Yes, I was wondering how the hell you get out of here? - where's the 'down' esculator?????
