Help me out guys. I really like the look of Mars Mission, but I am already spendin $500 on LEGO this summer, running out of room for LEGO's, and don't really want to start a new theme. Can you guys convince me why I should or shouldn't get them? Thx in advance. :-)

Thanks for all your comments. Seeing how happy I was with the Golden Guardian, I can't wait to see how great the Aero Blaster is. *wub*

Toyfair 2007 Bionicle Set Images
dillthepill replied to JINZONINGEN73's topic in LEGO Action Figures
What I think: The Mahri, IMO, look great for the most part. Jaller looks great, and his crab is a neat addition. I also like his combat weapon. What is with the chain hanging from his left arm? Nuparu looks great, if not a little on the bad side because of his colors. I really like his shield and mask. I love Hahli's color scheme, and here claw is powerful looking too. The mask looks a little weird, and the chain gun clashes a bit, but for the most part everything is great. Kongu is a bit thrown together too me. The two chainguns just shows that TLC is running out of ideas, but I'll still be getting him. Hewkii is my favorite of the lot. His mask is the greatest of them all, and I think the spiky pieces on his legs look cool. His sword is nice too. Matoro is awful, even worse than Pridak. Matora has an ugly mask that kinda makes him look retarded, the claw looks awful, and what the @#$% is up with the tiny feet? I'm only getting him because I'm that kinda guy who usually gets all the sets or none of the sets. The Titans are superb. Gadunka is very cool, even if his mask is completely <insert that tiresome argument>. His claws are the best Bionicle claws I've seen, and I really like his color scheme. Hydraxxon also looks great. Maxilos and Spinax both look cool. Maxilos looks very threatening, I especially like his weapon. The chain gun mounted on his shoulder is also very cool. Does anyone know if Maxilos is a hero or villain? Spinax is cool too Over all, besides the playsets and Matora, I think TLC did a great job on Bionicle. :'-) -
The last one was the best. "I wanna have a threesome" :-D EDIT: Look at this. I know it is off topic but still is hilarious.

Got this set at TRU the other day and thought I would give you guys my input(and pictures) First stuff first. The box is HUGE compared to how I thought the size might be. Here is a comparison pic between the box and Blade Titan's box. Like I said, the box is huge. On the back of the box, there is a short comic that is shown below. There is the same comic on the back of the instruction book, only it has words and at the starting it says " The Sonic Raven is attacking the Golden Tower," which means that the flying mech in the Golden Tower is really called the Sonic Raven. And here is the box art pic of the Golden Guardain, nowhere near as cool as the real thing. Some of the most interesting parts of the set are in this pic. There are two golden shield pieces, the golden pillar, the cockpit, white Sky Guardian wings, the black half octogans, the long pipes, and many more. Ha-Ya-To's new uniform looks great on him. While his face and hair remain the same, the uniform makes him look ten times cooler. And the sticker sheet too for those who haven't seen the pic of it yet. And now a pic of the Golden Guardian and all of it's glory. The golden shield was one of the greatest parts of the set. It also added a lot of playability to the set. The gun was definately the greatest part of this set. The golden pillar is cool looking and looks extremely powerful. I also like the other blaster and the missle launcher is also a cool touch. The legs are the coolest looking and most heavily armored legs Exo-Force has made by far. The side armor protects a lot, the feet are extremely sturdy, I love the pipes, and the golden stickers make the final touch. I thought that the black might clash, but it looks perfectly fine. The cockpit was expertly done. Ha-Ya-To can fit in easily and the controls reach his hands easily. I also like how the cockpit moves up instead of going forward. By this picture, you can probably get a good idea how the cockpit mechanism works. If not, then you are probably blind. :-P This one helps too. Now according to LEGO Shop At Home, the Golden Guardian is the biggest battle machine ever. Unfortunately it isn't even as big as the Sky Titan. But the Golden Guardian is definately cooler. The back may seem to not be protected at all...... .....or is it? Just goes to show how far back the shield can go. Is the Golden Guardian worth your money? The answer is YES. Then again, I'd say this about every Exo-Force set, but trust me on this one. Ever played with LEGO and kinda get bored WAY too easily? The Golden Guardian had me play with Exo-Force for over an hour and I am going to play more after I am done with this review. The Golden Guardian is such a good mech, it made play with Exo-Force and not get bored one bit. The only other sets I ever got that provided that much fun and more was the Sentai Fortress and Bridge Walker vs. White Lightning. I just love how much playability it has. Surprisingly, I loved using the shield all the time. This is, without a doubt, the best LEGO set I have ever owned.(IMO) Whether or not you like Exo-Force, every LEGO fan should pick up this magnificent special edition. It also gets a 11/10 from me. Nuff' said. Thanks for reading.

Pic Review: Aquaraiders Shipwreck
dillthepill replied to dillthepill's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Part 3: Lobster Strike Sorry it took so long. I haven't had much time for stuff lately. Anyways, here's the review. Overall, this set had many ups and downs which made it OK in my opinion. Pic of the whole set is here. The lobster was one of my favorite AR animals before I got this set. Now that I have it, it is a bit of a let down. See the lobster here. Dissapointment #1. The claws had hardly any movement. They could move from side to side, but that is it. |-/ And when they move, sometimes the legs just break down. A good thing about the lobster was it's tail. It was a nice feature and looked pretty cool. But the worst thing of all about the lobster are it's crummy legs. They are unstable and collapse all the time when the lobster does anything remotely active. Also the horns at the ends keep falling off which gets very annoying. Overall, the lobster was OK. It had horrible legs and not very moveable claws, but it should deserve about a 6/10 for the fact that the rest was great. Now onto the underwater tank The saw and the claw are probably the best features of the set. The saw could spin, and the claw is used to collect treasure and perhaps used for combat. Another good feature was the gun on top and the fact that the tank could move very easily. Instead of scraping along the floor like the Exo-Force Mobile Defense Tank, the treads and wheels spun easily and made this move easily. The one bad thing was the lack of cockpit protection. I mean, they are underwater after all. They can't just have huge holes to let in water. Overall, the underwater tank was the best part of the set, and a good AR vehicle as well. It should get an 8.5/10. Overall for the set: This set is probably my least favorite AR set, but still a good one. I reccomend picking it up if you really like AquaRaiders, but if you are not much of a fan, then you probably shouldn't get it. Enjoy! The Aquabase Invasion is coming soon(hopefully tommorrow) -
I got the Golden Guardian at TRU. *wub* I'm really excited, but my parents say that I can't open it until tomorrow because they paid $5 for it and I paid the other $20. I'll probably do a review for it.

I agree with you completly. You may notice that I never post in the topics discussing new Bionicle sets because all the people do is say "Oh, the Mahri make the villains look like heroes!" or " GregF has killed, murdered, and completly destroyed Bionicle" It's really annoying the heck out of me.

Great work. The scorpion is my favorite.

You're actually wrong EXO-CHAMP. If you look at the second page, it says Mobile Devastator. This is obviously different. Anyways, I love the Mobile Devastator. I somehow think it looks cool, especially with the wheels it has.

Very interesting report. Now it just makes me want to play more, but my friends just think it is too complicated and hardly like LEGO as it is. :-( When I heard that the Striking Venom was in, I thought that the humans were screwed. But it turns out that they won. Anyways, cool battle report.
-
I can't wait either. My friends still won't play Exo-Dice cuz they think it is too complicated, but they might play a simpler version.
-
That is a pretty cool idea. The only reason I didn't get a Vikings one was cuz I thought they were too expensive.
-
Thanks for these great reviews. The Golden Guardian looks awesome, I'm gonna try to go get it tonight at TRU.The Golden Guardian seems huge in comparison to the Shadow Crawler. Does the Golden Guardian have a spinning shield?
-
No, there aren't unfortunately. It is the same for all the other 2007 E-F mechs. Look at the movies on exobattle.comhere. They are in the bottom corners. Very fast paced fighting.... amazing.
-
Golden Guardian available at toysrus.com :'-) I know it doesn't show a pic and says" Exo-Force Golde Battle Machine, but you can tell that it is the real deal. As soon as I get home from my cabin(tomorrow) I am ordering 2 of these.

Yup, LEGO sure is doing great in the US. I haven't seen Spongebob on shelves in the US forever, which means we are running out of it. Exo-Force, Bionicle, and Star Wars are the most popular, and Creator and City have been ok too. It's gonna be fantastic in the summer as well. Stores will be restocking many times a day cuz LEGO will be selling like crazy. NXT is doing good? I don't know anyone that has one, but whatever. I've never even seen them in stores at all. Anyways, thanks for the find.

I think the story is basically the skeletons want to rule. FIGHT!!!! Good thing too. Some storylines now are gettng too complicated. Oh, and I hope that this continues for another year or so. If a theme as horrible as Knights Kingdom went on for three years, I hope this goes on at least that long. I see your point about Exo-Force. Every comic just has to have a battle. They should take a break from that for an episode or two. That's what I like to do when I play with them. Also, Bionicle is probably the only one that needs a major storyline. I mean, themes should just have a location( Example, Exo-Force is now in the Golden City) and that's about it. Aquaraiders and Mars Mission both seem simple, they are fighting for treasure, Castle is simple, so is Batman and all that other stuff. Basically what I'm saying is LEGO is huge on story lines, which gets annoying.
