  1. Thanks for the words, I appreciate your feedback. Here are some answers for you. Yes, I took some liberty on the guitar, and all of the guitars that are going to be in the finished product, but to reproduce the guitars just wouldn't look right. I've experimented and seen it attempted and I just don't think it looks good. As for the identity of the rocker, I am going to keep that under wraps for now too. I will say that I am shooting for authenticity with this project and feel that I have achieved a good deal of it so far. This is all about movement!
  2. This is incredible dude!
  3. I decided to share one of the main focal points of my project. I usually like sharing the WIP photos, but I am trying to control this project as much as possible. I am trying to capture a moment fozen, as with any vignette, but this is all about movement in that moment. I also want each and every element of this to work on its own as a stand alone piece, then bring them all together in one HUGE build. That being said, I have been burning through a tremendous amount of basic brick due to 'project creep' and scale.. I've been learning a lot about how much LEGO costs. For more, check out my my Flickr page
  4. This was in one of my earlier 'Blackstronauts' builds, but I never really gave it the attention I feel it deserved. So I gave it a shiny new radar dish and reshot it. ...speaking of Blackstronauts, I really dropped the ball for Feb. More on my flickr page
  5. One of the many stars in an upcoming project. What can I say, every MOC needs a fat chick. more at: flickr
  6. Thanks everyone, I am really falling in love with this scale and recommend that every give it a try. As for these, these were the first ones I looked for but I didn't have any spare ones on hand in blue. Off to BrickLink for me!
  7. Chris Phipson is a man that likes blended drinks and is NOT ashamed to admit it! I'm especially loving the pitcher, if this is one you're going to keep around or show, I might consider making the base a brighter color ...red maybe. OOOH, dark red! I would LOVE to see the pitcher partially filled with trans orange cheese slopes or something,
  8. I build this last spring, but wasn't entirely happy with it. I have recently made some needed changes after looking at it this whole time. There may be a few more tweaks on the way, but its pretty close to where I want it to be.

  10. who said any of us were sensible?
  11. In all fairness, you guys are stalking ME. You knew full well I was coming over here and got here first. The best way to follow someone is to be where they are going before they get there.
  12. Good to see you made it over here too Lee, looks like we need to get a party going over here!
  13. Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I tend to troll more than post... or at least, I try to.
  14. I'm a purist, but I will need to commit the 'infamous crime against LEGO' for a project and do not want to take the time or expense to have elements chromed so I have resolved to paint the elements. A few questions though... - Does the paint/clearcoat impede or impact the ability to stud-down a brick onto another? - How many coats are typically used to get an even color? - Will I feel as dirty as I think I will? - If I do feel dirty, is it a 'good' dirty? Gosh, I guess that's it, not really worth making a list. I'll think of something else!
  15. There is NO bottom Mark, we just keep getting lower.
  16. Apparently the MOCpages crew is invading Eurobricks! Well gosh, um about me? I'm still pretty new to the hobby and community I guess. I started building with my son's bricks about two years ago and posting on MOCpages. In September of 2008 I decided it was time to start buying my own bricks, so I still have a relatively small collection to pick from, I do what I can though. Star Wars brought me out of my dark age, but I don't do much SW themed building anymore. In fact, I don't think I have a preferred theme that I build in. I just build whatever pops into my head. Right now I am really enjoying Miniland scale and working on a project that is costing me WAY more than I projected. God only knows what will tickle my fancy next. That's it for now, see you guys in the forums! ...almost forgot. My MOCpage: http://mocpages.com/home.php/10462 And Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/shaddix/
