  1. Sing along everyone... Rollin rollin rollin, my left butt cheek is swollen. I just ruptured my colon... rawhiiiiiiiiide! Great little combination of techniques to give this an authentic western feel. I liked the cactus myself. Over all, NICE ONE! ~Chris.
  2. As one of the lucky few who was able to see Lee's "banned" moc before it was taken down... You people REALLY missed out! Oh, and wait till you see his Pillar... it's spectacular! Yes, I'm talking about the MOC... Welcome aboard Dr. Jones! ~Chris.
  3. Didn't you read your stalker handbook? You were supposed to give a full three day grace period before following Kelso and I over here. *sigh* At least you'll be able to post that groupie over here without too much reprisal. And for the record, pink is better than brown. ~Chris.
  4. Nougat huh? I always thought of that as more of a mocha caramel with whipped cream... Jokeing aside for a sec, I've never been able to get any of the color "names" right and to be honest, I was never that upset about it. I mean, I've been calling "brownish red" just regular brown as long as I can remember. Their "earth green" to my friends and I is "That sexy new dark green"... depending on context of course... For the greys, my names for them have been (and I KNOW this is "wrong" but it's just how I labeled them before I knew any better and the names just stuck) regular grey, bley and brey (the last one being that "old dark grey" I think. the name is a combo of saying "brownish grey") My opinion on this whole thing goes something like this... YEAH! They gave us the "real" names of the colors that they use. If there's any doubt as to a colors official name, now we know... is it going to change the way I build? Most likely not. But yeah, still a cool bit of info to have. Thanks for tracking it down and getting it to us, the unwashed masses, Mike! ~Chris.
  5. Well, I've said it before, I'll say it again... Me doing Clone Wars, you doing Halo... Did anyone else see Satan skating to work this morning? ~Chris.
  6. I've never been known for "safe" humor, but being as even my wife laughed at this one... hahahaha I'm glad you enjoyed it. Maybe someday I'll do a moc of neanderthal's sitting on a couch, eating nachos, drinking beer and farting while watching grown men chase a small sack of pigskin back and forth on a field and try to kill each other. You know, just to be fair and all HAHAHA and if you guys think this moc is "contraversial" you should check out my "Communications Universal Networking Transponder." Thank you all for your warm welcome to EB by the way! I've been here for less than 48 hours and I feel perfectly at home already. ~Chris.
  7. I always kind of thought that maybe Commander Switch reported that the "evil jedi" wiped out the squad and then slaughtered the refugees. It would sure help the Emperor with that whole "Jedi rebellion" cover story he was going for. Thanks everyone for your comments! I really enjoyed building and writing this story and have already started hashing out ideas for another one. Probably won't get to it till after brickworld though. ~ Chris.
  8. **Lowers head in shame** I'm never gonna live that down am I? HAHAHAHAHAHA
  9. I am what I eat... ANYWAY, glad to see you came over and kicked in the back door. I knoweveryone here can't wait to see your new mocs... Let's see here, it's 2010 now so... when you think your next one will be out? All joking aside, for everyone else, Mark is one of the coolest and nicest guys I've ever met, Lego world or not and I'm proud to be able to call him friend. Now that that sappy bit is over, let's get back to the smack! ~Chris
  10. DANGIT! I just realized I should be putting MOC before the title! I'll do that next time I promise. Oh, and I hope I'm posting this in the right theme... MOCpages users will have already seen this. It was part of "Phip's Clips Volume 2" and I just wanted to share it here 'cause hey, it's funny! Heck, even my wife laughed at this one. Men are simple creatures. We need only four things in life (aside from Lego) to make us truly happy and I’m here to share those with you now. The number one need for a man is a woman who can cook. The number two need for a man is a woman that can keep a clean house. The number three need for a man is a woman who’s CRAZY in bed. Fourth wall commentary: The fireplace on the left is actually a replica of the fireplace I have in my own house. Though mine's not made out of ABS and isn't in the bedroom... And number four, which is the MOST important need of all, is that these 3 women do NOT know about each other. If you liked this, you can read all of "Phip's Clips" volume one here and volume two here!
  11. Whoever the sadist was that gave you that category should be strung up by his thumbs then made to peel the tiles off of one of Kelso's SHIPs... oh wait... never mind. That's right my friend. Even after all this time, I still think this is one of your finest builds. And I LOVE the picture of you "playing" it. ~Chris.
  12. I have a reputation? ummm... should I just leave now? Stash mentioned me? It's a lie, a LIE I TELL YOU! believe nothing that man says!... oh, it was good? Stash is a fine upstanding individual and a scholar amungst a sea of morons such as myself... And don't worry about blaming me. I'm married... (11 years) I'm used to getting blamed for everything. And of course I will never... EVER be able to live that Halo MOC down. It will follow me to my grave! hahahaha Thank you everyone for your kind welcome. I'll do my best to be an upstanding member of this community and... hang on, I can't even type the last part of that sentence with a straight face. But seriously, thanks for the warm welcome!
  13. In the immortal words of Rainman, "Qantas never crashed." AWESOME build! It's like looking at one of those "incredible cross sections" books in real life! ~Chris.
  14. You sir, are AWESOME! Thanks! I'll see if I can fix it and add a few more images. Thanks for giving the one so that people can at least see a small part of the post. ~ Chris.
  15. This is my first post here, so I hope I'm doing this right. Stash, feel free to slap me upside the head if I did this wrong... This is a story moc that I did. It's set near the end of the clone wars. I don't want to give too much away, but if you're interested in what "the incident" was, feel free to click on the links below! Part one Part two Part three Thanks again Jim for helping me out with how to post! I still had to do some creative editing to make it work... but got it in the long run. Phew... ok, enjoy the moc! ~Chris. ~Chris.
  16. I saw this over on MOCpages. Nice work! If I hadn't just done a Clone Wars moc myself, this build would have easily inspired me to do one... oh what the heck, consider me inspired again! ~Chris.
  17. I'll be there with bells on! Ok... maybe not with bells, but I'll be there! I live about 15 minutes from the Westin hotel, so I'll be there pretty much every day. I'm registered and will be bringing MOCs to show... no clue what they're going to be yet, but I'm bringing em! I won't be staying at the hotel for obvious reasons, but I look forward to seeing all my friends from brickworlds past and meeting new ones! LET'S DO THIS THING!
  18. My first post here... hope this works right. ANYWAY... I know this thread has gone a little off topic, but thought I should throw my hat in the mix here. I'm a site moderator on MOCpages and I'm unfortunately the one in the middle of the whole situation that Dave is talking about here. Long story short, one of our adult members posted a moc that was intended for mature readers. He posted warnings and "Do not read this if you are under 18" all over the top of it to warn the kids that may see it that this was a mautre themed moc and not intended for them. I won't get into a lot of the specifics of "who" did the complaining, let's just say it was a group of self righteous 12 year olds who think they have everything in life figured out. Now then, remember that Sean Kenney (The owner of MOCpages) has told us, his moderators, to give each member as much creative freedom as possible on thier posts. In the end, Sean himself decided to take the post down. The content of the post wasn't "explicit" and didn't actually show the acts it was inferring, but when you have 20 kids (and that's all it was, out of the 1,000 people that saw it, only 20) going on and on about what's approriate and what's not, eventually you have to placate them somehow. NOW... here's the irony of this entire situation, and where my point was leading too all along... These are the same kids who find no problems with blood, gore, violence and mass genocide. How do I know? Simple. Not only have I been TRYING to point this out to them in thread after thread, but I conducted an experiment of my own this past week. I posted a (please don't throw anything at me) Clone Wars moc. I have a reputation on MOCpages as being the one with the "dirty jokes" and can always find the sexual innuendo in anything. The majority of my posts have some sort of joke like this in them. My latest endevor however, did not. It was a three part story of Clone Wars. In that story, I had characters go insane, commit mass murder, and finally, commit suicide. A few of these kids that preach about "inapproriate content for children" left comments saying how "wonderful it was" that I did a moc with no inapproriate content... Feel free to giggle now if you must. Now then, since you know the back story, allow me to give my opinion on this topic. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do NOT let this site become anything other than an adult oriented site! I joined here today after a long conversation with Dave about this. While I'm not going to be leaving MOCpages, it would be wonderful to be able to step into a place where I know I don't have to watch every single word I say because some kid might run and tell his mommy. But yeah, Nadroj is cool. HAHAHAHA Sorry to take up so much space on my first post, just had to get that off my chest.
  19. Hello everyone! I'm new to Eurobricks but have been around the Lego community for a couple of years now. My main site that I use is MOCpages where I am a site moderator. I also ran a few group projects over there. I started the MOCie awards (an awards show for the "best of" on MOCpages) and I started, organized and ran the "MocOlympics" (an elimination style tournament that had about 120 players last year (The winner of which was Dave Sterling). Both of these "contests" have been going for two years and I'm looking forward to a third and beyond. Here's my homepage on MOCpages http://mocpages.com/home.php/10716. I'm also a member of Builder's Lounge. I've also got a brickset page, but only used it to inventory my collection. Not too much else here. I know a couple of you guys out there in Eurobricks land, but for the most part, I'm a newbie here. I've been to BrickWorld Chicago twice (only displayed this past year) and can't wait for BW2010! When I first started out in this wonderful hobby, I fancied myself a Sci-Fi builder. However, over the past 2 years, I've found myself drifting towards town builds more and more. I guess I don't like to catagorize myself too much. I build when inspiration rears it's ugly head and whacks me with the "buildNOWhammer." I'm looking forward to contributing to the community here. See you all around! ~Chris.
